Esprit hub carrier, lower link stud "split spacer" required!

Hello

Maybe a long shot but does anybody have one available that I could purchase and/or replace at a later date?

I have found one, but all the usual suppliers seem to be out of stock and could be a six week wait to get more in. Its for an S4 hub carrier but I guess (please correct me if I'm wrong) should fit any Stevens Esprit from 88 onwards?

Part number B082D4079F. Number 66 on the diagram.

Any other suggestions for sourcing the part also welcome.

Kind regards

Andrew.

I wonder if you could just use a proprietary slotted spring pin (aka roll pin), which is exactly what it looks like (with any chamfer from the ends removed)

Its not really a spacer, its more like a small piece of pipe with a slit.

Its purpose is to slide into the side of the control arm, removing any space on the sides of the bushing when the nut is tightened.

I would not use the one in the picture because of the tapered ends.

The real one is flat on both ends.

Blimey, I've been fitting the wrong ones for 16 years.  Curse those Lotus specialists.

Have you got a photo of the real one?

Old original one (AFAIK) which I took out last year. The chamfering is cleary visible. The function of the split spacer is to avoid putting an axial load on the 2 lugs of the hub carrier when tightening things up.
