Winter storage

What do you do with your car over the winter?

Leave it, run it say once a week/month, etc.

My S1 is in a garage (heated), connected to a battery charger, windows slightly open, roof on, filled fuel tank (near enough 32 liters) and tyres are over inflated, however, I am interested in peoples thoughts.

^^^ I do like (and have always liked) the Exige s1 and I would have liked one, however, a step too far financially to justify above the Elise s1 (maybe one day?).

@6970K that looks a superb winter storage set-up, unfortunately I don't have the space for an Airchamber, otherwise I would do the same. My Elise under its car cover below.

I decided to run the car over the weekend (just on the drive since it is SORN), got it up to 80 deg before putting it back in the garage (I have read that if running you need to get the car get up to temperature). Considering doing this once a months (thoughts good or bad?).

Warm car, warm garage..... you need a couple of mousetraps.

But the best advice is to drive it on dry, salt free days.

I'd either take it for a real drive when weather permits, or leave it tucked away. Just running it stationary doesn't feel right to me, and prolonged idling can do more harm than good.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.
