If I had future sight into posts being made and knew what I would read would probably aggrivate me, believe me I would have not wasted 2 mins of my time reading and replying to it.

If there was a function on the site to ignore certain people's posts in a thread and not just blanket ignore, then I'd use it, same way as I walked off from some bloke at the bar tonight who started irritating me.

My problem is I dont see what is constructive or meaningful when people troll threads that quite clearly they have no interest in, or posting anything other than negative remarks and making 1/2 penny comments reminding us how bored they are - too much time to burn ?

I know there are many aspects of other people's lives I find catagoricly mind numbing to hear about, but I dont feel the need to keep reminding them of it every other post.

I'm sure this digresion will come up again (and again, and again, and again, and again.......) but please, If you dont like political topics, dont read them, or change the skipping record - it doesn't get much easier than that !

Not so fast, Trevor. That deadbeat owes 5 months of overdue child support.

I want a new box on the voting slip! One that says "None of the Above". And if that one wins we have a Govt made up of business leaders and normal people!

After thinking long and hard I prioritised what I wanted to achieve and then I couldn't vote for the lot I wanted to (UKIP) as they didn't stand in my constituency!

My Choice was Cons, Lab, Lib, BNP and Green! Wheres my freedom of choice gone? I brought it down to 2 disposing of Lib, Lab and Green....but just couldn't bring myself to vote BNP.

Like I said I don't like voting on "Who's the best of a bad bunch" but I had to just to see change.....But I still want a "None of the above" box next time.

Kimbers, in all seriousness - why dont you stand ? Thats the point. Really I am being serious.

If there is no UKIP candidate, man to the front - step up - you'd do a good job.

I guess you can vote none of the above, just play naught's and crosses on the paper :getmecoat:

I just pray, in 10 hrs time, please god oh please can we be rid of Gordon flamin Brown !!!!!!

Trevor, thats Aleksandr the Meerkat, lol you'll love this :

My vote has gone to Monkey the Drummer from the Official Monster Raving Loony Party. Even though they refused to allow me to join, as they said I was "Too daft for us!!"

Given the state of the body politic I see the OMRLP as the true inheritors of the torch of democracy. And anyone called "Monkey the Drummer" deserves a few votes....seat's as blue as my Esprit so doesn't matter how I vote...

Our Monster Raving candidate was the well named Lord Toby Jug.

Let's hope he enjoys a pint or two this evening!cheers.gif

Thank god it looks like being a hung parliament with Tories in charge and with Libs rather than Lab and Libs. I just hope the Lib Euro policy gets scrapped and their Amnesty for half a million illegal immegrants.....and their anti-Car transport policy.....I could go on....

did anyone else find the coverage on TV strangely compelling and hard to turn off? I sat down to watch half an hour or so and finally turned off at 05.10 and feel like complete cr@p now!! it was almost like a stupidly long sporting event.

will struggle to make it till 7pm and then drive home now without about 3 gallons of high octane coffee

I did find the coverage compelling viewing also.

I needed to be up at 5am so turned on the live coverage at 10pm prompt. By 10.05pm I'd promptly been put to sleep and their blabbering kept me sleeping all night long. The best night sleep I've had in ages.....!!

So now it's over right...... No?

And there was me hoping TV would return to normal today, I hoe they don't spoil my weekend off...!

P.S. Jon, chill out dudes :) oh, you owe me a pint as well :)

Sorry Simon its just those things push my #'s

Straw vs camels back kinda thing - I'm chilled now we've (hopefully) see the rear end of Brown Labour, Mandleson and Co.

(whats the pint for ?)

I was up 'till 5am when my constituancy vote came in - I've already got stuff for her to answer :)

As a mamber of the armed forces now I have to have my own personal kit insurance, and have to have 2 forms of personal health insurance vs death and serious injury !!??

So as a volounteer in HM armed forces I have to pay for my own medical care cover !!! What next, paying for my own bullets ???

Next time I'm going to get involved propper. Despite it being hung result, in all reality it couldn't really have been a much better result - I think Camerons speach was inspirational, so the right man should get the PM job with the best bits from the Liberals, I have lot of time for Cameron and Clegg and if both parties can grow up and work together it should be interesting times.

I specifically haulled my ass down to the polling station as i had told you I would.

Next time I will be auctioning off my vote on eBay or somethin like that.

P.S. Lisas just got in the shower cause she's doing a night shift, I have immediately turned off sky news and put on Dave and a rerun of topgear. What am I greeted with? Emmerson fitipaldis lotus screaming about. Ahhhh a pleasant relief.

I voted for Cameron, purely as he's my local MP (first thing he did was walk into a pub down the road from me) and i think it's good for the town if he gets to be PM, it's not in his favour for his home contituancy to look bad in any way, thats my way of thinking.

:)

Oh, and if you should not post, notice, read or comment on subjects or people you don't like, this thread would obviously not exist.

:)

And then you would have nothing to be happy about!

We all know about Bigotgate and Gordon's gaff but did anyone see Mandelson's gaff?

He was giving a press briefing and Adam Boulton (Sky News) was laying into him. Eventually Mandelson got irate and shouted at Adam saying "but you are not standing for election are you Adam?" to which the room full of journalists as one replied "No and neither are you!"

Well thats it, its all over.Cameron must be the siickest of the three as he didnt get the majority he thought he would.Glegg must be second as they fell

short of the hype, Brown did far better than anybody expected.

Your pole bibs shows how skewed poles of specifc narrow interest groups are.Only 36% is hardly a mandate to snatch power. Considering he wouldnt

countenance a deal with LDs hes falling over himself now, just to get power.

I think people dont like brown {labour} but remember Thatcher! So the election has left all parties short of thier expectations apart from labour

who probally bid better than expected.

The sad thing is are there only 3 socialist own esprits?

Surely DC is taking the initiative of doing a deal with NC to avoid the obscene spectacle of GB attempting the same thing in a desparate attempt to continue in an untenable position?

So, hardly anyone voted for the Lib Dems and Clegg but if they form a coalition with the Tories we'll have their policies forced upon us due to the concessions Cameron will give them to form the partnership? Democracy sux.

Actually Bibs, last time I looked at the figures nearly a quarter of the UK voted for the LibDems, but they were generally a second place in seats, so only achieved a low number of MPs (8% IIRC). That measn nearly as many people voted Lib Dem as Labour and nearly as many people voted labour as Conservative, but the specific first past the post system we use can only account for most popular in the geographical region.
