Apologies for thread drift.

Yep - that sounds possible Andy. Mrs mik had rented the e-type for my birthday from Caledonian Classics, but only for 4hrs so we tooled around the area.

Drove up there in my VXR8 - essentially a 6.2 HSV Clubsport with better brakes and other detail changes. Apparently the next customer arriving to pick up the Healey 3000 was an Aussie. He got extremely excited and said he had no idea they had a "Clubby" too, and could he switch his hire to that instead? The owner said he was absolutely gutted to hear it was another customers car. 🤣

Getting bored with pounding up the M6 this afternoon, a diversion off into the Lake District was rewarded with a photo opportunity on the western side of Ullswater - well, it would have been rude not to.

Like the look of the old one, but I honestly think the latest shape of Evora's, in particular the revised front and rear end ones after the base 400 and early 410 Sport, are the best looking. I do not however, like the GT 430 wheels with the silver lip.

I think car styling has gone ugly in the last five years or so, just compare the Lexus RX400H to the RX450H for example.  Still think the Evora Launch Edition is 'blue shark' and 400 and after are 'basking shark' styling.

Much as I love my GT410 Sport, specifically the redesigned nose area, I much prefer the rear end and aero slots/vents either side of the wheels on the GTE. To my eyes, the vents behind the front wheels look better than the simple reshaping in that area on the 430 and I love how Lotus have done the air inlet/outlet either side of the rear wheels. Much more of a resolved design than the more recent cars.
