It's their demo car now

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

On the forum home page your user name appears in the top RH corner. Click on that for a drop down box & select my profile. That page then allows you to edit :)

I'm not so sure it will accept typo's though e.g. Audi :sofa:

  • 2 weeks later...

A sad and reflective moment this morning. Before the start of my regular Tuesday morning (ice) hockey game we all gathered at center ice for a minute of silence to think of the victims of the Humboldt Broncos disaster this past weekend.

I realize that this forum is largely UK centred, so there will not have been the extent of media coverage as here in Canada and many may not know what I am referring to. In brief, the Humboldt Broncos are a Junior A hockey team based in the small town of Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Junior A is high level hockey for players aged 16 -20. As is the norm for this type of team, they were travelling by bus to an away game when the bus was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer truck carrying a load of peat moss. The team bus was carrying 29 souls, of whom 15 are now dead and 14 injured, some critically.

Odd as it may seem, a group of old guys (age 55+) playing hockey on the west coast feels this tragedy deeply. One of my teammates is from that part of the country. Another friend recently left the team because he moved to Saskatchewan; a family member of his was the head coach of the Broncos and lost his life in the crash. Others played Junior hockey in their youth and have spent countless hours on similar bus trips through the Canadian winter.

As a hockey player, and a Canadian, this tragedy has touched me deeply.

My wife had an accident in March and despite the other driver admitting fault and having protected NCB our renewal has rocketed, and getting quotes from other insurers is a flipping nightmare because the claim is not technically settled yet....

Yes, March this year. Thankfully the claim isn't a problem as they were insured and have admitted liability. The problem is that despite that, my renewal with Admiral, and alternative quotes from other insurers have all gone way up....

Tried removing some smoke tint from the rear lights, internet research says carb cleaner is good.  So, I now don't have smoke tint on the rear lens, but  I have a cracked rear lens and it's not attached to the body of the light.

Still don't want to wipe it down with an abrasive cloth. No Leather or anything mate! Gonna invest in a hose pipe (the old one is perished) and a squishy plus a nice leather and some soft cloths

Kimbers what you definitely don’t want is a leather you need a drying towel, two buckets with grit guards and a set of wheel woolies

leathers scratch the hell out of paint work

Have a look in the detailing forum, have a read up and you'll end up with a shinier, better car for it 👍

No, it was on the back of an AA recovery truck.

No. I believe it was on a hill with the tailgate open to the prevailing tailwind. Soooper silent mode.

:o:o:o You used the 'S' word. Go stand in the naughty corner, right now.

Microfibre, or better still lambswool, mitt and nothing else, otherwise you might as well have a cleaning kit that comprises of these..............

@Bibs Personally, I wouldn't be using that microfibre cloth in your ValetPro photo there - it's touching the ground so is only fit for the bin!!!!!!!
