GT3 manifold replacement

Strange, it felt like 3 months but according to this thread it's only half that.  Clearly I wasn't enjoying myself.

Ah, yeah.  used to be on the daily drive but that's going, so transferred it.

She flies!  (That's a clue for the registration)

 

Didn't take her far, but definitely less laggy, more responsive.  Much smoother drive than I remember!  Sounds a little different - not much, but can definitely hear new noise that I'll have to get used to.  Popping a bit on overrun but not in a bad way, and that may settle with learning.  All in all, very nice.  And I especially like the cooling sounds after switching off!

Indeed.  Also, I'm really not a performance/modding person.  My interest is in engineering excellence and reliability, and this manifold embodies those properties after all the hard work from Dave and Leon.  So yes, it's definitely a little different in response, but what does it for me is the massive improvement on all other fronts over the cast alternative.

And I may make it to the Ace tomorrow...
