Orange GT3 38k miles again

It's back for sale again... What's the issue with this car not selling?

And it's gone again! Might have finally sold. By all accounts it's a bit of a duffer.

Sorry - still on ebay. I asked a few poignant questions:

"ive had performance cars most my life and been to jct 600 initially when purchased car..was dissapointend with the workmanship... used a trusted mechanic who always worked on such cars as lotus carltons ,ferrari 348 amongst many others...also got reciept, had cambelt plus tensioners at 24k mls approx, plus clutch around same time...car has an is stored in my garage..

had o2 sensor done an have had an inlet manifold done...all oils..including gearbox have been done each time ive had service..mechanically sound ....

Just don't drive it rarely..tax,mot,service it every year only to do under a thousand miles hence selling"

It's still there.

It's a shame, it is a bit pricey, but it's a rare car in quite possibly the best colour it was ever made in.

Has there been any mention of a respray as the GT3 side decals have been put in too high?

 

I may be wrong but the drivers side decal looks a bit skew.

Agree though the colour is fantastic - next to yellow if course.

Exhaust manifold done, turbos all ok (boost) apparently.

GT3 decals removed when he bought the car, then replaced again.

Thats just a sub stuffed in there and the switch at worst is stuck on with a foam pad, I doubt its screwed in place. All gone in 5 mins work.

ITs a dog..its been around for a long time..its been looked at and the bloke even admits he will take 13k..the paint is rough. Its musty..signs of a life outdoors etc..not as good as the ad trys to make out...

£13k though. That's a very realistic proposition at that price.

Why not advertise it closer to that then?

What are the biggest gottchas to be aware of other than what's claimed to have been done?

Are fuel tanks an issue for example?

Fuel tanks aren't that bad to be fair, certainly wouldn't be something that'd put me off buying a car, I'd just get in there and do them, be that repair or replace.

It's orange, if you want an orange one there's rarely many options, and I like orange!

You recon he'd take £10k?

I may well be in the market for a new car soon running a bit short!

Its a rolling resto job so 10to12k would be an acceptable price...in my opinion..

Well spend your money wisely. There are always bargains to be had. A friend of mine looked at that gt3, an over priced dealer gt3 at 21k and then stumbled onto a mint late model new dash etc gt3 and paid 14k...private sale
