Bloody hell Chrome Orange, do you want to see my wife and kids out on the street, with no food, no shelter, no nothing cos my Evora is wrapped in lovely carbon bits all over???  Welll, hmmmm,  errr, actually - I could live without the wife and kids I suppose....  :)

I had seen a post on another forum in the US that HKFever was "signing up" 2 established European dealers for his stuff but it has been quiet on this front for the past month or so.

It's a shame cos I thought about it myself and I have a nice big new garage (think barn) to store the stuff in to....

it Looks good, just one question on the leading edge  is it a Matt or gloss finish or is that the light hitting it.

looking forward to getting this

It is matt.  You will see in the photos it is cut from self coloured black plastic of some type mentioned in earlier posts.  After cutting, the matt effect is generated by the rounding off of the cut plastic to stop you slicing yourself on it.

Agree...it looks good!!

Al, are you happy with this mod? I mean, about the look of the car now..

Do you know if they fit it wit adhesive or other attaching means apart from the envisaged mountings?

I am very happy with the overall look and think it adds a certain subtle something to the car that you maybe don't immediately know what it is unless another Evora owner.  I only had positive comments when out yesterday with 22 other Lotus owners for our LEGS drive.  Granted they were also unlikely in the majority of cases to say if they didn't like it!  They just wouldn't say!  By the way despite driving the car hard yesterday for about 120 miles on poor Scottish country twisty B roads it never grounded once.

As far as fitting is concerned it was only fitted with the supplied mounting kit and following the instructions.

The only overall thing that maybe isn't 100% as hoped before I started this process last December - and I knew this before fitting it - is the material is not jet black.  It is a very very dark charcoal colour almost black.  Because I have the Sports Racer look with a high gloss jet black front valance it does look a different colour up close and only in certain lights.  It would look black on any non-SR look painted car.  It is certainly not a big deal and is not an issue.  My main purpose for fitting was to be the sacrificial item to take what scrapes do come the way of the front rather than the red painted underside at present.  At least this product is black right through so will scratch black rather than the red which scratches with white marks.  I'm just waiting for a new number plate to arrive to replace the - previous to fitting the splitter - damaged front one.

Just to clarify, the splitter is made of black polycarbonate. Unfortunately it isn't quite as dark as Phantom Black. The front lip is milled round, but not polished. I polished mine by hand initially, but in my eyes the difference is not wirth the effort.

The mointing will hold safe at any speed, I regularly   had the Evora above 290kph.

Got mine and don't intend to use any adhesive as this is a piece that may need to be removed/replaced and as such don't want it bonded to the car.

i do t have ramps to fit it but looks like a 30 minute job for a body shop???

Craig who fitted mine is quoting 1 hours work to the LEG'ers who will be using him.

Received the splitter Friday and fitted it just now, it took me 1 hr 20 mins to fit.

very straight forward fitting and seems very solid, rivnuts do give it the extra strength it needs and I'm confident it will hold.

very pleased with the end result

Back from hanger 111 where the guys there fitted my splitter. Some before and after shots below. It looks crawling in the person. Really pleased with it. All fitted for the princely sum of just under £40! They seem a superb outfit and are adding a rolling road to their premesis at the moment. Look forward to building a relationship with them.

Very nice. Mine is still in my garage waited to be fitted. Thinking about adding some red to the edge!

Thanks Stu. Nice to meet you, and your car :)
