I bought a TR7 for cash - no PX.  I was then all set to put my Eclat up for sale as a resto project, but today, while collecting a stainless steel exhaust for my Leyland Princess, I saw an Elite partly way through a rebuild, and now I again think that I should hold on to my (currently shonky) Eclat.  Decisions, decisions!

Now I have changed my mind again!  I think that I  sholud see if anyone wants this car as a resto project.  I suggest £3,000 as is.  I shall put an ad up.

I posted an advert on that site, but it hasn't appeared.  It seems surprising for a forum such as this not to have a usable cars for sale facility. 

There's a Facebook Group ostensibly for selling Eclats, Elites,and Excels, but the software doesn't recognise that the Lotus Eclat exists, so you can't list one there either.

The car is now running  and rolling, so I will get it an MOT, tidy it up a bit, and then decide whether to sell it as a scruffy runner or to keep it and posh it up

It's an eighteenth century threshing barn.  It has space for five or six cars, the contents of a London flat, assorted junk, and a grumpy Norwegian cat.  My brother uses the hayloft as a mancave and he and his geeky friends play Dungeons and Dragons there in the summer months. 
The Lotus was under that old mattress until two days ago.

Hello yuh all y'all.  I have sold this Eclat to Dunc of this parish.   Blessing upon the camels of his forefathers, and so forth.


The Eclat had been sitting on its bum in my barn since 2018.  It starts (sort of).  It will run better after Dunc has cleared the clag out of the carbs.

Plan is to take it to South London, do some fettling, and use it when I'm in London, as the yellow V8 is coming out to my new place of work in the channel islands.

I'm getting increasingly miffed at my donations to Siddique Khan everytime the Holden HSV leaves the driveway, and the eclat S2 will be MOT/Tax/ULEZ exempt.

I can also transfer ECL47 S onto this car, as I cannot take a UK plate to Jersey, and would otherwise have to put it on retention.

A "normal" eclat 2.2 will make a nice counterpoint to my yellow S2, which is ummmmm not very standard. However, I do have a rebuilt head and some high lift cams lying around somewhere. I guess if nobody can see it's been changed, then it remains standard!

May get the wheels powder coated gold. thoughts?
