I won a contest to name my friend's punk band.  The winning name was Tone Deficit

Used to follow a great local band called Sid Sideboard and the Chairs.

My mate's band is called "Armitage Shanks and the Dudley Elite" and my nephew plays in a band based in Mansfield called "Axminster Burnes and the Rugcutters"

Armitage Shanks - the name of some very fine porcelain used in certain rooms in the house. 

 

So named because they were made in the village of Armitage which by coincidence is a mile up the road from me
