My day out with Julian Thomson the designer of the original Elise for a article in Absolute Lotus,  he still loves the brand and gave me a great insight to his time at Lotus.

I can understand why julian Thomson was irritated when the S2 came so fast. S1 was his baby and it had a big succes. So why so fast? Probably the new staff of Lotus wasn’t so keen with the so called restro design and wanted to go forward in new design.

We've been there twice, great setting and I couldn't resist a similar pic either. 😉 Not with a Lotus though.

Looks like something out of a Transformers film and just doesn't look "Lotus" to my eyes. Too much going on when Lotus used to be more subtle/delicate in many ways.
