Lotus Exige Cup 380

Very nice!  Looks good with red wheels, cut off & extinguisher spec'd too.  Seems odd that it is UK registered but LHD?

I imagine Jamie has sold a good number of 380 Cups.

is this the same car perhaps in the video review with enthusiastic Italian man driving b2b with the new Cup250? Though I thought that had just electrical cutoff and not an extinguisher.

what is this joke regarding the plaque ? just crazy. even the total number of produced cars is wrong... don't understand this kind of decision.

PS  : Next week I should get more pics of the cup 380

That is sodding nice though. I think I'd forgive the shambles about the plaque on seeing that in person. I'd still lose the eyeliner decals but otherwise find it hard to fault visually.

That car is bloody nice. Wow....

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

The light switches of which 3 are usable, why are Lotus putting in a blank for the 4th one?

What was it originally for? I guess it may share the same part for the elise/evora but I have never seen on an exige what this 4th button could be used for. No option I can find where the 4th button would be functionable.

Can anyone help?

Hi all,

I am very interested in the Cup 380 version even if maybe is not available anymore, HOWEVER, reading this forum I heard that you consider this car not fitting noise regulations at most track days. One of you on page 2 said that the car is at 107 db... is this true?? What are the official sources of this info? Any news from Lotus? I have googled a lot about this and found very little info. Moreover, is the db level same with standard and Titanium exhaust??

I do not understand how Lotus could have made this mistake! This is a car so well designed for track use, and basically it cannot be used on most of race tracks... this is a nightmare, :( nonsense......

Thank you for any info you could provide..

PS: Race track I go more often are: Spa, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Monza, Imola, and Mugello (this last one has no limitation - but all the others are between 95 and 105).

  • Thanks 1

I agree with you rational ... its a Cup car ... this would be a big mistake for Lotus to majke.

In addition on some tracks those noise limits are not as closely monitored as you would think. I know for a fact that the KomoTec V6 Exhaust with open valve is Ok in Spa, Nürburgring, Hockenheim... and its very loud - probably sign. louder than the Cup Exhaust...

Even at Bilster Berg (a track known for its strict noise limit enforcement in Germany) @TBD had no issue with his KT exhaust ... which makes me finally seriously consider one as well ....

Classica Motors in Geneva has 6 on order... the black one is mine. Will collect it next week. There's a white one and 4 more will come in August and September, if you want one, probably 3-4 are already sold but you will have 1 or 2 remaining

This one is MINE

Thanks for the info. Had a quick exchange of info with them, but it seems the 3 cars they have ordered (not 4, apparently) are not configurable.. not sure why, unless all started the production phase.

Yours is beautiful and I like the red contrast with the black. However, I would personally like to take that car in a personalized color, more bright.

Yes you could tailor 3 of them since one is sold to a customer already until about 2 weeks ago, since now they are all in the production phase already.... I thought I'd take a special colour too, but had pre-ordered also this black one and couldn't resist when I saw it coming in.... to replace my 360 Cup...same color exactly......

  • Gold FFM

saw the 380cup at B&C yesterday. stunning.

Apart from the red wheels, which apart from not being great to start with, clash horribly with the different red of the callipers.

Looks very naughty indeed. Stunning! Grip must be crazy. Best looking car for the money by some way. Many congratulations.

Congrats Antoine, have to say that is a stunning colour combo, looks really mean, I am waiting fro my dealer to give me an update on mine but at least I can admire your pictures whilst I wait, feel free to post some more anytime :)

So I guess the whole central windscreen wiper idea has now been dropped? thought that looked quite cool but in reality I guess it could be a pain.
