Hot damn, what a sexy car. I like the the look of my 400, but the GT cars really do an amazing job of keeping the original elegant look while adding an more aggressive/exotic look.

Now, apologies if this has already been picked up, but it seemed worth watching as I know @The Pits just raised the issue of Lotus and their "production numbers" in his GT430 video (nice vid BTW Jonny).

The text article along with that video reads:

"OK, here’s some good news, the GT430 has a close relation called the GT430 Sport. It retains the technical spec of the GT430 but sheds the downforce-creating elements including the huge wing, wheel-arch louvres and front splitter.

So it actually has a higher 315km/h top speed, is $20,000 cheaper and there’s no limitation on supply."

Now... one presumes they have been given this information - so is it true, or just poor fact checking?

He mentions in the video carbon backed seats, but they are the standard sparco's you get in the 400 yes?

@bosshog The 430 can be ordered with carbon-backed Sparco seats which are the same design as the familiar 400 ones, but a bit lighter and more expensive.

For the gauge thing. It happened to me on a battery change. So maybe just unplug the + for some minutes and give it a go again.

So it's been a while since I logged into TLF (or indeed kept abreast with all latest Lotus news). I'll add my 2c worth that I hope the departure of JMG is a good thing. I agree that he was the man for the job at the time but I do feel like some of the cut backs he made were a little too close to the pail. I had also heard that he wasn't the greatest boss in the world and for me that counts for a lot too. 

Anyway - I'm loving my GT430 and as you all shout and scream for pics I thought I'd share some. Unfortunately it's unusual for my car to be clean but that's because I'm driving it too much. I'm also loving my Polestar tuned hybrid XC90 and I can't wait to see what Lotus do with this tech........

We are enjoying our car that much that she goes in for her first service next Tuesday, I honestly don’t think there are enough words to quite describe how good the GT430 actually is.

This may please some current owners to hear, I was talking to Scott earlier this week and Lotus are about to cap the number of GT430 built for UK, so if anyone is interested in owning the best road car to be built (yes in my opinion) at Hethel you need to make the visit to a dealer or phone SW at factory ASAP!
