Great day at Castle Combe, turned up at noon and the weather was fine.  Good to talk to Barry and Punky, Andy your car looks awesome.

Some proper track driving too from Dom and his S4.  There was a red SE with 6 spoke Awi's going hell for leather too.

I'll post up some photos soon.

Great day at Castle Combe,

I must have just mist you Mark, I was there early and left at lunchtime, I did meet a few people, good to put faces to the names. On the plus side I did see @Barrykearley 's new project, his nice BRG Elise (he kept that one quiet) , but although I looked for him didn't see Barry, but he must have been trying to avoid me.

BRG Elise?  Where did that come from?

He must have been hiding.  His reputation's been on a downward spiral ever since that V8.

There's no doubt it was @Barrykearley 's. There has been radio silence, he ain't denying it either, you know he likes to keep us in suspense!!!

Look - I’m not one to hide under a bushel. You must know that. If I had another car - ffs you guys would know about It before the missus 😂

please remember that @Steve V8 has a car that’s in many many bits, haemorrhaging money and he’s already been forced to offer a kidney for sale on the Internet.

How can I deny him a little bit of leg pulling??

Come on tell the truth.....the cat is out of the bag.

This lovely Elise couldn't possibly belong to anyone else 😂😂😂

That SE with the AWi's was Mark kassim ,   He is in a transition period with the Esprit now kicking out 300 bhp and 300 ftlbs of torque,  It certainly was going well.... I am looking forward to his next mapping / tuning stage.,,.      But what a great day for all ..

Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk - that will teach us to keep mouth shut!

Great to see you Ian - some good pics of Eleanor there (I was blind to the other porn!) - sorry we didn't get to chat more.

I only saw the one red SE on track and that was certainly going very hard (my third session at about 2:30 or so).  But an interesting observation for the TLF trackday thread where people have been "arguing" about whether TLFrs are like minded rule followers or not.  The briefing was very clear at CC.  If someone catches you up from behind they are by definition going faster.  Overtaking is on the right by consent (indicate left) and let them through.  Well I caught the red SE at least three times in that session - almost jumped in the boot at quarry where I had the biggest edge but no consent to pass - he just blasted away on the straight with a much more powerful car.  Indeed he was reluctant to let anyone passed even those with clearly faster cars including that red S4 in Ian's Vid.  I saw those with faster cars eventually force passed without consent being given.....   Some of us are happy to do our own thing....but some people just like to race!

Loving Lionel and Eleanor......missing Charlie and Sonny

Track etiquette was sadly lacking verging on the dangerous.  I gave up waiting for consent - too risky, an excel shot up the inside of me when I was waiting on an elise to make its mind up. I think the format needs to change, the disparity in both vehicle performance and driver ability is now too great and releasing 12 varied cars together under that scenario isn't appropriate.
