The unions have become too political. They seem to view their role as being there to undermine the hated Tory government rather than work in the best interests of their members. That isn’t just the teaching unions. Unions should be a good thing to provide balance, but they lost their way a long time ago.

There’s so many variables at play when it comes to buying a new car, that it becomes an irrelevant question. Was it a factory order or a dealer stock car? Did you have a part exchange? Did you take finance? Did you want to buy from your local dealer for top service or did you phone around multiple dealers to try and find a cheaper one?

It would be a mistake to think that the remain argument in Scotland can be won on purely economic grounds. It’s a mistake that the remain side made in the Brexit argument. Both issues were far more complex than just economics. I voted leave in the Brexit referendum - and I’m very pleased we’ve now left - but if I was using the economic future as the sole criteria for my vote, I would have gone with remain.

I think the problem was that at £19k it was never close to profitable.

Agree that silver looks best. Gold and bronze don’t seem to work on it, black and grey look okay.

That’s an interesting question. Maybe not quite the same but I’m currently in the market for a new motorcycle (after lockdown!) and really like the new Triumph 1200 Speed Triple just launched. Triumph is a great British motorcycle brand and make some superb stuff, but it’s no longer built in Hinckley, it’s built in Thailand. I’ve been asking myself whether that really bothers me, and I don’t think it does - I would much prefer it were still built in Hinckley, but the Thai built product is indistinguishable and hasn’t changed the nature of the product in any way. Would I buy a Chinese Elise? Yes, I think I would if it kept it accessible.

I really hope the Type 131 is a looker. It’s going to have to go some to be better looking than that! Absolutely love that colour combination.

Indeed. From a rUK perspective I don’t know what the fuss is all about. If Scotland wants independence, let them vote as often as they like. If they leave that’s fine (rUK removes a financial drain) - If they stay then that’s fine to. What isn’t acceptable is 47 SNP MP’s in Westminster who’s sole agenda seems to be to undermine the workings of the U.K.

On my yellow Roadster from a few ago I got the LOTUS replaced with black. Originally I had the rear section black wrapped, but didn’t like the result, so had it removed and replaced with the black letters.
