  1. Before and after. This little dog belongs to one of our foster children and came to live here with her 4 weeks ago.
  2. Mr2 went straight through its MOT just advisories on the rears tyres, think the fronts are 4-5 years old so fresh boots all round I think.
  3. Oh yes .......what he said^
  4. Start the engine and try to turn the wheel. On my old na it took 2 hands to turn it. It was impossible with one.

    white evora s m20

Coming up to the leeds turn off at about 2pm. 1st one I have seen on the road in ages. Looked good but didn't hang about.
  6. Make sure the oil coolers and lines are full of oil ( they hold quite a lot). Fire extinguisher ( big one) by your right hand. Maybe crank it over with no ignition until the oil pressure is up. Check whilst doing this as if cooler lines are not totally full you could dump a lot of oil into them out of the sump. Good torch to look in to the depths of the engine bay and large cardboard box spread out under the bay so you can see any drops of oil or coolant. Probably another pair of eyes to franticly run about checking as well as yours.
  7. This time last year I sold mine for £15k it had been totally gone through mechanically. £17k worth of parts bills .just needed paint. A lot of the bills will be the same as a more expensive model. Put a good manifold and exhaust plus mapped ignition on it and you get close to a carb turbo performance.
  8. Its the Lotus DNA. I don't have pic but viewed from above through the screen on my old 88 Esprit it looks like the wheel is pointing at the centre of the car and felt like the pedals were pointing at the kerb. Character I think its called.
  9. Whilst I have never bought the mail , in the same way I have never bought the Sun I do resent having my reading choices being censored in this way by company's. Its either illegal therefore ban it or its not and keep the f&^k away from censoring what I chose to read or not that is my choice and mine alone.
  10. Looks very similar to my old 88 n/a. The master cylinder was the same as a VW T4 transporter from memory and the reservoir I think was a very old ford transit mk2 I think. Seem to remember Lotus had used a hot screwdriver end to try and melt away the raised ford lettering on the cap. The T4 master cylinder had 4 outlets with one of the rears capped off as it splits in the engine bay from memory.
  11. Lotusbis supplied a machined aluminium mount and crank pulley with the teeth cut into it for my old N/A esprit when I added mapped ignition so they might be able to supply fairly quickly.
  12. The problem with the excel is the back end. The esprit looks spot on all round, the excel looks like they ran out of cash at the B pillars and got the YTS boy to finish it off. 7 ish years ago I sold a really nice SE excel for £4K and bought an X180 esprit for £4k that needed a total rebuild. Good though it was I wouldn't have spent what I did on the esprit on the excel as at no point did it stir my nether regions like the esprit.
  13. Cheers guys. Yes will need to be mobile. Will have a look at those options thanks.
  14. I m thinking about getting a card reader which wont get more than £30k put through it each year. Any recommendations from users of either of good or bad points. The both seem similar with izettle slightly lower % fee but slower pay to account.
  15. It soon racks up. I totted up over £500 in stainless clips nuts bolts brackets etc in mine
  16. You could try hot zinc spray. 20 years ago I had my old spitfire chassis sand blasted then they spray zinc wire through a very hot flame melting it just before it sticks to the metal. You will still need to waxoiil the inside however. The guys who did mine said most of the time they were coating metal structures that spent their entire life under sea.
  17. Top of the list of forums, site sponsors, and underneath full forum members and parts manuals. Above motorsports and trackdays.
  18. Tower bridge , coloured in?

    Really? An MR2?

We bought a mk3 60k miles mint inc hard top 6 months ago for £2500 which is 20% of the price of a similar age elise. It's not an elise by any stretch but it's such good vfm and at that price that it's disposable if any big issues pop up.
  20. You never had the delights of my old early 2000s ford Mondeo. You look a right prat when you get out of the car to open the gates and the thing locks itself with the engine running. However you only do it once without dropping the windows before exiting the car. It never hated me that much that it wound them up after locking itself!!
  21. You really need to know exactly what the damage was.
  22. You want to try working in prisons. Oddly some of the open ones Ive worked in take more off you than the more secure ones. That could be down to a raised security level for that day I guess.
  23. Not a good idea IMO but let see how the rolling bit goes. Road tax exemption started out as a rolling thing and was soon stopped. However I guess the government wont "earn" much out of this compared to road tax.
  24. The SJ 4 into 1 manifold did not fit to my 88 n/a in anyway. So they took it back and refunded. Alunox made 2 n/a systems about 4 years ago one of which went on my old n/a. They didn't make any more as far as I know. It was a lovely piece of kit and the whole system cost £1600 ish. I took my manifold off with the engine insitu................................ and then took the engine out 2 months later !!! I do have the old uncracked ( from what I can see) cast manifold hanging from the celling in the garage if you want to make me an offer, can send pics.
