@Kitkat a beautiful looking car, love the slim sports seats in these limited run edition. The wheels on yours look after market, for a minute I thought they were 300 sport wheels, but it seems not. The brakes look like they have been upgraded too. Which number edition is yours ?

@TheOrs thats my car and the interior is all original, as is the rest of the car, you can still see in places were the sunlight hasn't impacted the Marcasite. Its a lovely place to sit in Some really good advice here. Too many Esprits over the years have been messed around and upgraded in their time (I have been guilty of this in the past). Originality is now key, personally I would keep the interior as is and try and make good what you have rather than recolour it etc.. The biggest challenge may be the foam in the seats. I use Tesco Momentum 99Ron in all the Esprit's, with a half a bottle of Redex in a full tank every now and again, the carb cars especially love it. Same auction a few lots apart a Sunbeam Lotus made £5k more than the Turbo.....and with non original front seats ...go figure ! https://www.silverstoneauctions.com/1979-talbot-sunbeam-lotus-rec12326-1-sywell-0523?el=20313&pn=1&pp=100 I get its the knock on effect of cars like RS 2000s of the same era making strong money, the Sunbeam is far better car than the Ford by the way. But the wedge Esprit in general is still way way undervalued. Not sure what will be the trigger for the Esprit to increase in price, we have had the Bond and Harry Metcalfe effect already. Hopefully the Emira will be the catalysis to broaden the appreciation of the Esprit to a new audience, both at home and aboard.
