  1. Out of interest, why not just put suitcases/bags etc on the rear seats?
  2. FYI, https://12ft.io or https://archive.is can help get past paywalls.
  3. This can only be done via the Lotus Techcentre (or whatever the software is called these days). So, it's a trip to the Dealer/Service Centre, unfortunately.

  5. Welcome to TLF, Shaun. 👋 Good luck with your hunt. It might also be worth putting a post in the 'Evora Wanted' section: https://forums.thelotusforums.com/forum/211-wanted/ You might be surprised by what you are offered!

    Emira GT4

To add to the post above: https://www.gt4europeanseries.com/news/369/mahiki-racing-set-to-make-its-debut-with-twin-lotus-emira-gt4s "The new Lotus Emira GT4 will make its competition debut in this year’s GT4 European Series Powered by RAFA Racing Club thanks to new team, Mahiki Racing. The British squad from Stoke-on-Trent – which is backed by the luxury lifestyle and nightclub brand Mahiki – will run two new Emira GT4s this season, with a car apiece in the Silver Cup and Pro-Am classes. Jordan Kerridge and Max Bird will crew the Silver Cup car, while Dexter Patterson and Steven Lake are confirmed to share the Pro-Am entry. "

    Just found this:
  8. Has the watch never been serviced then? Also, is there a serial number between the lugs?
  9. Have you had the caseback off (recently)? Were there any Heuer markings on the inside of the caseback?

And…? Googoo seems to suggest that it was to get sufficient roll authority in a narrow cockpit.
  11. ES Motorsports might have the secondhand parts. They part out (or convert) lots of Exiges.
  12. I’ve already told you - it is for licensing purposes. It is easier (and cheaper) to get, then maintain, a US/FAA flying licence. N reg aircraft have to be owned by an American entity. Hence the use of US based trusts. The actual owner(s) will be based in Germany. Anyway, do all of these posts about owning and operating N reg aircraft require a thread of their own? 🤔
  13. I dunno. I presume that there are plenty of FAA approved MROs in Europe. I have never owned an N reg aircraft. Or, any aircraft for that matter! I just drive ‘em. 😉
  14. It is normally for licensing reasons, rather than tax reasons. It is less onerous to get (and maintain) a licence under the FAA system (rather than the EASA or CAA systems).
  15. Where ACBC was conceived? 🤷‍♂️

    Of course, it is.
  17. Is the car on summer, winter or all-season tyres?
  18. @GRP is the person to contact about this.
  19. I am also a ‘yes’. ☺️ (Although the design obviously won’t mean anything to Joe Public. You’ve got to be a reasonable Lotus 🤓 to know about the Gold Leaf colours).

ISTR that this testing was only carried out after they had started losing Comets in flight. This testing showed that the square windows of Comet 1 were the weak point - the sharp corners were failing after a number of altitude cycles. Hence the round/oval windows on Comet 2 (and all subsequent airliners).
