  1. we have it on everything, probably my fav herb!! In fact that salad @C8RKH just described is exactly what we had last night with garlic new pots, roast chicken with the addition of thinly sliced radish
  2. @Barrykearley if you need to do the rear deck lose that spoiler and i reckon it would look stunning
  3. 100% its an esprit 😍 well i hope it is
  4. agreed he once fixed my Esprit by telepathy and i still wish that wasn't true
  5. Sorry I think he did. I have known Sparky for 10 years maybe more and you won't find a more helpful chap as many on here will attest to (Sparkles you owe me a pint 😃)
  6. Mr @SSA ELAN ESPRIT he really does know what he is talking about, so i would actually listen and reading the comment I don't think there was any "Smart Arse" about it
  7. 100% give him the problem. I will make sure it gets paid tomorrow
  8. Awesome, that didn't take long 😃, I finally get my Christmas present!! Don't bother sending it I will pick it up on the way back from the office at some point and maybe we should have a pint to celebrate
  9. Hi @Logit I have just got back from a 900 mile trek around Northern France in my GT410 sport manual with my wife. The car was absolutely epic, didn't miss a beat, even worked out on the M20 on the way home how the aircon worked 😃. The gearbox is notchy when cold but warmed up its an absolute pleasure. For me, who does 25 to 30k miles a year in an auto for work, it just wouldn't work having my fun car without a manual. My top tip for Europe trips is use this website to get a toll tag www.emovis-tag.co.uk if you have a Le Shuttle booking you don't have to pay the 10 Euro registration fee and then it is 8 Euro a year plus the usual toll fees. I can promise you cannot reach any of the toll booth stuff from the window of an Evora Dan E
  10. just got back from France yesterday and have still only seen the first one, going to bing it over the next couple of days. The first episode was brilliant
  11. This is the absolute joke of it all, when we done our Wills we got asked what happens if one of you die, so obvs I leave everything to Commander and she back to me, if we both die then it goes to our son, in trust controlled by a family member until he is 25. Then they asked, what if you all die!!! Didn't think about that! So spoke to my family, none of them wanted it for inheritance reasons so I have left my half to Help The Heros and Commander has left half to Cancer Research Anyway that should be enough off topic for me to get told off 😃
  12. @C8RKH I am now on an interest only mortgage for inheritance reasons, it makes absolutely no sense for us to pay off the rest of the mortgage financially. Now you are correct, this was all done with some sound financial advice and our LTV is very favourable. So we invest the money saved on the mortgage, max out our pensions and ISA's. Its all down to playing the system and I am buggered if I am going to leave my son paying a penny to HMRC
  13. Only seen the 1st one, brilliant
  14. Rick i am going to text you Sparkles number
  15. you have always wanted to work on that Elite, Rick owns a pub as you know, there is a deal in there somewhere
  16. You are right that has been up for sale for a long time, I considered going to have a look at it but I was obsessed with getting one in Military Grey. It looks epic go and buy it
  17. funnily enough I bumped into @makkyh last night, who was with his lovely wife and carrying some sort of plant in a pot at 9pm at night! @Sparky (sparkles) this is a job for you
  18. I spoke to Gerald at GST about this when I had a dry sump and I am sure he said it was 1 litre. I would definitely give him a call to confirm though. He is always happy to help
  19. @evora400 I stayed there whilst they serviced it, sat on the sofa, logged on to their wifi, done a bit of work & it was all done including brake fluid change in about 2 hours
  20. First time I have used Back on Track I thought they were brilliant, its worth going just to see the Alfa they are giving a nut and bolt resto Highly recommend them, Jez even bought me a coffee!
  21. I can better that @Kimbers years ago I got invited to the Design Awards for a cafe we built for the Olympics (which we won btw and I got a kiss off of Lauren Laverne😘) Anyway I don't really do things like that, obvs black tie. Wife picked my one up from the dry cleaners took it to the hotel, when i went to put it on I think she picked up @C8RKH one. It was massive, no choice but to wear it, there is a picture somewhere!! Anyway what i didn't realise was that if you are a trendy media type black tie actually can mean literally wear what you want, including jeans!! So I looked like a right tit!! 😀
  22. good call on the massive tea towel!! D day beaches is on the list
  23. me and the wife are off to France next week in the Evora, we are going back to Honfleur for a couple of days, last time we went we were in my S1 Elise about 25 years ago. Then we are staying in Amiens for 4 days so we can go and show our respects to the WW1 boys around The Somme. Sparkles has given me some pointers anyone else have any must sees or other stuff to do around there? ta Dan E
