Myself and some school friends went with one of the fathers (he worked for BR) to Barry Island to see all the scrapped steam engines all lined up ready to be cut up, but I have since been told that they have all been saved. Good memories also of the IOW and Ventnor (town) station.

Have had a number of phases of OO model railways, sold it off, bought some new stuff and sold it..etc.. Still go to the occasional toy fair to see if I can find anything interesting. A mate of mine, him and his late father had an O gauge track round their garden - including 1 live steam loco. Have still got some N gauge stuff and gone digital.

If it went too fast into the wind it may have taken off.😃

When I switched to my spare set of rims when my 430's original rims went in to be refurbed, the car seemed to recognise after about a mile or so, mine are of course the later spec. Generally the TPMS on my car does not come up with any errors even in cold weather - unlike those on the Evoque we have had.

Is a consideration, also the type 134 should be announced at the end of this year - but not keen on an EV. I have the M100 which has better access but feels so old. I may end up going back to Jeep.

Well the wife only has 1, I have 4 but she is not keen on me getting any more. Did say to her she could buy a spare ( of my choice of course..) But will have to consider switching out of the Evora to something a little easier to get out of, possibly later this year.

Actually this is the wife's unhappy thread. booked her Evoque into JLR for a warranty check/work required, sales guy says we would get a courtesy car of a similar type ..... arrived early as asked, sat and waited for over 30 mins others got booked in, then went out with the mechanic to listen to the noise. He agrees an issue probably wheel bearing - car only done 4k since we got it new last year. He advises not to drive it and they will put it on a ramp to check etc. Service lady asks if there is an extended warranty - pointed out to her it is only 8/9 months old so in the 3 year one!. No courtesy car available for 6 weeks (had we not booked one was what she asked..) She will see if she can get a hire car sometime - just wait to se if she gets a manual - as wife has not driven a manual for many years.. Mechanic says they do not hold the possible spares in stock. I expected a hassle so I took one of my run around cars down anyway so I knew we could get home. Just wait until she sees the sales guy again.

Think each dealer/retailer is expected to have a stock ready for 'instant' delivery (16 seems excessive though) , so if someone comes into the showroom then they can pick one up quickly if they do not care too much about the exact spec. If you try going into a JLR dealer expect to wait sometime for a car in a spec you want and the Eletre is a better bet for a company car. Hendy Exeter have a few, thought they were selling up to 3 a week. (may include Emira) Will have to see how the monthly UK registration stats progress through the year. And eventually howmanyleft will pick up the stats of the cars in use etc. There are a number of folks waiting to test drive the Emeya having paid a deposit.

and not to mention the noise.

There are a number of threads on here and lotus talk, the later cars (ie 4xx) used different parts. There are alternatives to the part bibs lists as it a standard widely used type.

There has been coverage of this car earlier in this thread (I think), when it was still 'new' but sat around for years. As that dealer lost its dealership a few years ago

In negative equity with it, not surprised typical Porsche owner? What a long video repetitive and extended until he gets to any real points. At least he says DO NOT BUY AN EV..........not just Porsche.

Have used these for years on the cars I do not use regularly, but they are then left unlocked either in a garage or elsewhere well away from the front of the hose. Luckily our house is some 80 yards from the main (country) road.

Had seen a similar comment elsewhere, but thought we are expecting a higher power version?

And leave plenty of negative comments on all their social media. Would have thought you'd get an email from them, almost sounds as if they have used your details on someone else's account/order.

As @Bibs says as long as all the junctions are well covered, and the cable is not got lots of joins in - like one of mine, would have thought you be ok. I take it your area is not liable to flooding! I have left batteries on charge overnight with the bonnet as far down as it will go so it covers the battery terminals/charger.

May be the Lotus part is hanging on for a bit longer.

Looks as if Hendy Performance Exeter may be in trouble, they have gone off Hendy Performance website - now only shows Eastleigh. I think this looks like the beginning of the end? I know @MPx, @Markindevon and @mayevora are also aware of what may be on the cards.

I was a bit disappointed about the supposed Porsche and McLaren dealer presence, no signs, no obvious staff to represent their respective dealership. The Morgan dealer had a more obvious 'stand'. Was thinking that the dealers would be a bit more like a motor show stand than just a random car park. Hendy Lotus seemed to have more signs/flag pole things that anyone else and Lotus jackets and better arranged. Was impressed how many cars they actually got inside but was pretty cramped when the crowds were in. If SWLC and Hendy Lotus were not present may not go to a future event.
