  1. I would definitely get some proper penetrating fluid in there (not WD-40!), and be patient. I use Aero-Kroil, but everyone has their magic favorite. Acetone mixed with ATF supposedly works well.
  2. I always use the marks on the crank pulley and front seal cover, you shouldn't need to use the flywheel pointer..
  3. My point is that it is normal for a loose black wire to be present.
  4. That wire is probably disconnected on purpose, there is a pin on the ECM (J1C3) that is grounded if the car does not have air conditioning. Cars with A/C still have the wire in the harness, but it is left unconnected.
  5. Your original picture showed the nut still partially on, what happened to it? Is it the primary or the secondary shaft?
  6. People misadjust the pushrod, and it gets overdriven.
  7. The V8 gearbox will fit, you would have to swap bellhousings. I did this swap on my SE using a replacement tailhousing, and ended up fabricating new brackets and a new muffler bracket. Not trivial. I have never seen pictures of how they implemented it in the later GT3 cars, I would be curious to see the changes.
  8. Glyn, there have been at least four iterations of the overall gearchange mechanism, so you need to be a bit more specific about which new bits you have on hand. A photo would definitely help.
  9. Not necessary, only the relay that controls them needs to be left in place.
  10. I've never seen one that did, even using a Tech-1. They're always a bit different.
  11. I think the picture in the link I sent you is oriented in a way that makes it look like the wrong part. If you look at the mating relay socket they are the same as what's in our cars: http://www.britishwiring.com/Housing-with-Bracket-p/c817.htm

  13. The V8 blower is quite different. Here is one on eBay, with many pictures. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390991777383
  14. If you just wish to test the pump you could jumper the two large contacts in the plug, but don't do it for very long. (Purple and Purple/Slate wires, I believe.)
  15. Based on the photo you posted in another thread, the relay that turns on the pump is missing from your car, so the pump will never turn on.
  16. The black connector is for the ABS pump motor enable relay -- I have one for sale if you need it. The yellow connector may be for the radiator fans, but it's hard to tell from your photo.
  17. Are you referring to the electric pump? Source for a new one?" Thanks.

  19. I used the second one. The male shank was a bit short, so I dispensed with the washer under the nut. I'd be leery of the quick-disconnect one.
