  1. Anyone use a trickle charger on an outdoor vehicle that is not garaged? Wondering how it works in ‘all weathers’ from a charging and safety point of view.
  2. I’ve literally just taken mine off after 6 hours this evening and can finally breathe out again. Mine goes on once a month and I literally dread it each time. I’ve got two options. Buy a bigger Tux or lose a couple of stone. ☹️ Also just booked up my next longish road trip. Euro tunnel out 22nd June. France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Italy and come back a couple of weeks later.
  3. Morning Noon & Night at the moment. Yesterday I had a 4.30am alarm call. Picked up first pupil 5.30am for his 7am Test. Followed by a 90 minute lesson then two 120 minute lessons then another three 90 minute lessons - arrived home 9.30pm. I’ll definitely be around that area Friday so may well see a few early arrivals. SPECIAL NOTE TO ATTENDEES - You definitely don’t want to be heading towards me oncoming between 4pm-5.30pm Friday with who I will have next to me in the drivers seat! (I spend more time steering from the passenger seat more than she does) 😳😜
  4. Mine looks like Mikes ticket with bar code but haven’t noticed I’ve been sent any arrival and parking details. Was that on a separate email Mike? My ticket does say ‘show car’ including driver. so I’m assuming that’s inside then?
  5. Can I suggest a 8am meeting at Exeter Services for a 8.15am leave to arrive in Marsh Barton for 8.30am for anyone else want to arrive together.
  6. Nothing arranged at all yet Mike. Happy to do that though so we can arrive and hopefully park together.
  7. Be a change from shorts. For a good well priced mechanic I’m prepared to ware anything 🤣🤣🤣
  8. At your ripe old age I really do think you should be giving more consideration to moving to a more retirement friendly area like/such as Devon for example maybe…..…….. 😜
  9. @C8RKH Just hate hearing stories like that. This is old school back street mechanic/garage and thankfully not so much your modern Main Dealership but you have just proved it does still happen. A full refund goes without saying. She should have probably been offered additional free servicing just as a goodwill gesture but can totally understand why she wouldn’t want to set foot in the place again. I’d be shouting this loud and wide if it were me.

Lotus Cars joined the Nasdaq yesterday. Any idea what name they are trading under? I can’t find Lotus Cars.
  12. Correct it was nothing more than that. When I got there he handed me his Business card and even that said ‘Trainee Sales Executive’ on it lol. (We’ve all got to start somewhere I know) I also had a 3 hour drive to get there and when I arrived the first thing he said was “I need to do a test drive in your car” (car I was trading in) - really?!?! After I’d just driven it 3 hours to get there lol.
  13. And arms and legs must be covered. (No shorts or T-shirts) Helmets are obviously compulsory but you can hire them there if you don’t own one. All of above not necessary on lunchtime parade laps.
  14. Who fancies a meet up at Exeter Services and arriving together?
  15. It doesn’t always work like that I’m afraid Chris - The duals are used hourly anyway. Examiners will let pupils hit kerbs and railings and deliberately won’t dual pupils then fail them. They will dual them if another car, bike or squishy human will come to harm though.
  16. I’ve only missed one in 30 years. (Still haven’t forgiven my sister for booking her wedding on a Castle Combe date) I’ve no more sisters so I’ll be there 100% 👍😁
  17. It is another Mini but not from Vertu (they didn’t play ball on a trade in figure) Mini number 7 for me. The old 70 plate Clubman is the first one I traded in that didn’t make it to 150k mileage. (Still traded at 10.5K and was happy with that) First Countryman picked up this afternoon but can’t get too excited about any work vehicles I buy - pupils will christen the alloys with a couple of days. Just new Duals to fit then it can start paying for itself.
  18. Well I can honestly say buying a new car has been nothing but a pain in the arse. It used to be and should be an enjoyable experience but doesn’t seem to be anymore. Red tape and hassle the whole way through. Everythings a problem from Banking transactions to Insurance swap over and that’s even before I mention the car sales numptys who look about 19 and don’t seem to know anything about anything anymore. Shite communication from all of above feels like it’s me doing all the work and the Companies I’m dealing with try to take maximum profit from minimal (actually zero) input their end. This isn’t just car buying it’s actually the norm and expected nowadays dealing with any Company’s. Pretty sure I’ll get the usual post purchase Customer satisfaction and how did we do email survey. No idea if these are used or even read as Customer service and support seems to diminish year on year.
  19. @C8RKH 😂 Nothing that can’t be sorted out in a couple of lessons I’m sure. 😜

Nvida & AMD What a day and what a year for these two. So glad I kept buying over the last 18 months. Retirement moves a step closer 😁
  21. It’s only me that sings in the shower not her - Available on all good YouTube channels! 🎶😂
