I'm not sure if your 93.5/S4? (usually the 93.5 SE is USA only) and the S4 is the later rounder body style, has the same ball joint as my 89SE. Looks like the later cars had a different wiper arm assembly and ball joint at some point.

on my 89 SE, the socket was a plastic piece that was riveted to the metal arm, and surrounded with a hoop of metal. It should pop off easy, but the plastic will be brittle. As you saw, since you messaged me, mine broke when I first bought my SE in 2000 (first day owning the car) so I made that metal replacement. These days you could also probably try a 3D printed version! I have the .STL files if you need them.

Funny enough... Lotus borrowed my Esprit in January for asbestos testing. They were only testing the door assembly. Lotus had the paperwork that proved their cars didn't have asbestos, but they were being sued, along with pretty much all other manufacturers, so they had to have an independent lab do the testing. And they used my car in Colorado.

The secondary injector resistor just limits the current flowing through the secondary injectors, which are high impedance @14 Ohm, and wired in parallel. The other pins on the resistor are not connected.

Just use a pick or a hook to pry out one side of the wire bail on each injector connector to release them.

That idea should work fine. At a quick glance, I think those would replicate the version on the Esprit.

I have a set like those. I've used them a lot! I had to use them to move the car during an engine removal in a garage with too low of a ceiling, moved the car out from under the engine.

I know someone who that happened to at ~162mph on the salt flats after losing drive at around 211mph (modified Esprit). In his case it was the 5th gear itself that fell off and locked up the transmission.

The purge solenoid is part of the canister, replacement parts are not expensive. I replaced mine due to a stalling on a hot day. Venting the fuel fillers allowed the car to start, so the logic was that the charcoal canister purge solenoid wasn't venting enough or at the proper times when the engine could handle the excess fuel vapor. The replacement parts are ACDELCO 215-163 Vapor Canister GENERAL MOTORS OE: 17092109

You just push the throttle cam down with your thumb and then once slack, it's pretty easy to push the cable barrel out of the cam.

Did someone say "dog" and "performance SUV"? I will say it is nice having a dog that loves everyone and everything. And everybody loves him! We do get mobbed, everybody wants to pet him! I never have to worry about him starting things with other dogs, we meet tons of neighborhood dogs per day, on every walk! Some other people's dogs are "reactive" and will lunge or snap or bark at Enzo. He really doesn't care. He just wants to be friends with everything. We let him out on the porch at times, and he'll watch people and dogs walk by, often on our lawn, and not a peep from Enzo! We were able to heavily socialize him as a puppy, he's met hundreds of people and dogs, at big events like "Doggiepalooza" at the Belgian brewery behind our house. We've also taught him to not be sensitive about loud noises like cars, fireworks, thunder... He's always fine! I do think most of it is training, but I know there are definitely some breed tendencies, and even behaviors passed on by the dogs parents. He's also really good riding in the back of the car, you'd have trouble telling if he's back there at all.

Be careful, it is easy to break the throttle cable adjuster thread. The throttle can be sticking for several reasons. The cable sticking in the sheath. The cable sheath sticking/pinched in the guide tube where it goes through the bulkhead. The cable where it comes out at the throttle pedal, there's a clamp there that can pinch the cable in the sheath. Or it could be that the engine growth with heat is pulling on the cable. I have found it is necessary to set the cable a little slack when the engine is hot, while still being able to get 0-100% in freescan, and while making sure the base TPS voltage is between .45-.65V in freescan.

We had a "1000year flood" in 2013 here in Colorado. I was in Minnesota as a kid and they had a 3000year flood, was 14" in 8 hours IIRC.
