I have a Silver Frost deflector I never use. I could be persuaded to part with it. 😉

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Actually I bought a nice calypso red one knowing that I would need to repaint it, but if @glynherron confirms it's an Azure blue one, there could be a nice condition calypso red for sale soon! (unless I find a white one so that I can arrange a flag! :D)

If I were you Escape I would probably keep it, but that could obviously make someone happy to buy it if it's missing! :)

Hello, what is the exact colour or the deflector? Which shade of blue is this?

It's definitely not azure blue. It's got purple and black in it.  I'll try to find out...

Think you’re right Steve.  I’ve looked for a photo of the chassis number plate which will have the trim codes but I haven’t got one. I’ve messaged my painter and let’s see what his memory’s like!

barry. The spare I got was just a spare...

Indeed this does look like Midnight Blue metallic - paint code B42.  Same as my previous V8

Seeing as I never use the deflector and don't plan on selling the Esprit, there's not much point in hanging on to it. I'm a hoarder, but maybe I should do a bit of clearance.

Hi all,

a bit off topic but is there supposed to be wind deflectors on the glass roofed Guigiaro esprit?

An optional or aftermarket extra fitted in place of the roof (glass or solid) when removed, to reduce wind noise/ingress into the car.

So there isn't supposed to be one, but it's something that's nice to have.

Really? I thought it was a standard part!

:D

If it's an optional part it's less a problem but otherwise I still think it's a pity to let go standard accessories from the car as they are quite rare ^^

Well I would happily swap if for an Azure Blue one  but so far I couldn't find one ... (except once when one went cheap on ebay but I logged on just a few seconds too late :realmad: )

Has anyone actually used a wind deflector? Maybe in warmer climes, but in the UK?

@charliejd85 has if I am not wrong ^^'

I’ve already got a newly-trimmed and painted GRP roof in a bag that I haven’t used in over four years of ownership.

I’m just wondering whether it would be yet another piece of kit that will sit in the garage unused.

Margate Exotics.
