Mclaren can play with team orders all they want but they just might miss out on the next opportunity to have a Mclaren WDC. Historically, it seems pretty unusual to have team ordered position swaps that don't play to the benefit of the driver closest to the top of contention. If it was just about who was done wrong on a pit or tire swap, Mercedes and Ferrari would be jockeying their drivers every race. Perhaps Mclaren think they are above that kind of chaos.

Too true. Other drivers would just return the favour towards the end of the season as and when the WDC is secured. Seems naive to forfeit points to the leading driver (MV) at this halfway stage. Hope I’m wrong.

Horner's unlikely to be frightened by a spider. And thus far, he appears to be bulletproof.

I reckon he's doing sterling work, and if RB win the constructor's title, then that's what his aim is.

Also read that Max got someone fired from RB over the radio traffic - but no detail of who this was. Or even if it was the radio itself or reactions within the team by someone? Surely can't be his race engineer?

Perez is a good driver and has won Grand Prix. Sadly he is not doing very well at the moment.

So after an interesting qualifying session due to the wet conditions and Max now starting p11, wonder how long before we have our first accident. Can't see the pole Ferrari actually winning.. Perez has a chance to keep his career alive if he does well, if he crashes or drops a load of positions his second half of the season could be spent on gardening leave..

Race is predicted to be dry, so it’s game on.

Someone must have lit a fire under Perez, that’s his best effort for ages. But is it just a flash in the pan, or can he keep it up for the remainder of the season? In fact, maybe the decision has already been made and if so, will he actually finish the season?

As for the win, either of the Mac Lads are the clear favourites. Norris needs to get his head down and I reckon he’ll walk it. Always assuming we don’t have a repeat performance of the farce in Hungary.  Part of me says you can never discount Max, but he’s got a mountain to climb, and I reckon it’ll be damage limitation mode for him.

Ferrari still a puzzle.

McLaren real contenders.

Mercedes startlingly good given the warm day and track.

Rest of the season will hopefully be very interesting and I predict a different team will win WDC and Constructors.
