Was hoping the RB would not make it to the end. Looks to be close this year between RB/Ferrari - not a supporter of either team.

Can't see Merc ( or the customer teams) making much progress for a few races. They have much to do.

It definitely was the show that we want to watch at each race. Good racing through the field showing that maybe they got the regulations correct. Curious as to what is it going to take get both drivers from the teams racing for the win.

Mercedes yet again get the strategy wrong and it costs them in the race. They use to be the master tacticians too.

Great race. Felt sorry for Perez losing the lead like that, was hoping LeClerc would hold on until the end, but the top line speed of the RB was too much. Just waiting for the accusations to start that were always thrown at Lewis - he's only winning because he has the best/fastest car", "anyone could win in that car, it's the best car".  I suppose they'll start to come thick and fast around about race 5.

I do think that Max is having to work very, very hard, as LeClerc is not rolling over or really responding to any of Max's bully boy tactics.  Will be an interesting season, but not sure if we will see a t6ango'd raging bull or a black stallion as WDC this year.  I would prefer the stallion though of course. He's younger and we need the flesh blood

I can’t speak for Alan, but during the final Virtual Safety Car period I saw Verstappen close up a 1.5 second no DRS gap to LeClerc and end up 0.7 seconds behind him at the restart.

After Max got past he accused LeClerc of cheating when he started his counter-attack.

he also said that it wasnt fair the safety car had been deployed !!! wasnt that how he won the championship last year ?

So because he says a couple of truths he is called a big girl. Not one of those drivers would have deserved that insult after a fantastic race driving at 200 mph inches away from walls both sides and feet away from other cars.

soz not a max fan nor a hamilton fan, both great drivers but ones a gurl at times and the other should keep politics away from sport and not be so hypocritical , but each unto our own, the one statement that annoyed me sunday tho was "thats not fair bringing the safety car out" and if anyone else is a gurl in future meetings id call them a gurl too its not max biased lol actually i was wrong to call him a gurl in todays non binary world as it may insult some peeps !!!

BTW I’m neither anti or pro Max, he’s a brilliant F1 driver but, at the same time, he’s an annoying little @rsehole just like his boss.

@windy I totally agree with you re Crashtappen and Hamilton, particularly with ramming the politics down our throats. Please just do what you do best ie driving and entertaining us with fantastic on circuit skills

probably some feline protection legue would find fault but actually do feel that circuit, even tho its been altered is still not fit for purpose i.e too unforgiving and ...... given the missile strike the race should not of took place, that missile strike was too close for comfort

Did you know that facetious is one of only two words (I believe) in the English language that has all the vowels appearing once in the their order we learnt them at school.
