In the photo, the black doesn't even look black . . . more charcoal.  And the tan is MUCH lighter than I was expecting.

If you mean the leather, I presumed that was Ice Grey, I think the interior colours in particular will look darker in the cabin.

Is the yellow metallic at all?

If I were lucky enough to be in the market for one of these, it'd probably be the Yellow, black pack, red calipers and red leather interior or the nimbus grey with black pack, red interior and calipers again.

The Red leather looks similar to my IS which is 'Dark Rose'

No, not at all. Flat and a hint of English mustard to it. Still nice though!

The colours are very different from the configurator (I'm not surprised but disappointed) see below the difference is huge.

I've gone with the magma red for now, at least we can change our options for a few weeks yet. I've got a few weeks before the roadshow hits essex.

Yeah, the configurator is even further out from reality than we first thought.

The red is VERY similar to Fire Red as I mentioned.

Here is the full pic of the Exige in Fore Red so you can get a feel for it.

Somebody more skilled than me can now show an Emira in this tone.

It's not a bad red, of course, just has not got eh visual impact that I had hoped for.

This really ****s me up. It is bad enough choosing one colour... but two... :wallbash:

Yes, in the sun, the metallic flecks really help.  It is an unusual red this anyway but still nice.

With black pack and black wheels it will make the colour stand out more IMHO.

Nice event down at B&C - good access to the paints, giant configurator and the car itself. i sat in it for ages.

👍

If the grey then I was expecting it to be much lighter.

Umm. Ha. I assumed it was the Black.

So where is the Ice Grey!?  Good point. It slipped my mind to ask about it.

Still, too impractical.

After seeing these, it was immediately obvious that the Alcantara is now the way to go for me.

The Tan and Red were very soft in tone.

They looked very pale next to the Alcantara with the bold stitching.

I wont get leather now.

Was thinking all black is too dark and was looking for some contrast. The tan looks too brown so maybe (depending how light) the ice grey is an option. The durability of alcantara puts me off that.

Yeah, but I think this is a complete non-issue.

it looks and feels incredible and only serious mileage will make it look worse. A bit aged wont look bad anyway.

Them of course, you can retrim. Certainly retrimming the steering wheel is simple and not expensive.

On that note,, Jamie at B&C said that adding a centre wheel stripe of any colour is do-able post factory easily enough. Have to keep an eye on that nearer the time as I definitely want that.

There was a fire red Evora at Hendy (I think), which looked very good.

Looking forward to the event this evening at B&C.  I'm very torn between a V6 and the i4.  I think I'd prefer the latter, but don't want to wait!

On another topic, I'm probably the only person in the world that doesn't like the way the Evora 410 exhaust just opens up and goes full volume.  I think I read that they had done some work on that to make it more progressive in the Emira.

Umm, could be clever use of the valve - might make it harder for me to simply remove it.

Did anyone ask about the cost of options?

Like how much of a saving is the FE vs own spec car with same item?

Thanks for all the photos guys, I have to wait until the 11th for my first look.

I didn't ask specifically but throughout the conversations bits about it came up.

I'll have a think on it.

It was fairly obvious that if you take the base i4 price of £60K that, with the options that everyone will then want, it will be nearer £70k but we kinda all know that.  If one can live with a base spec with silver wheels, no black packs and not info/track packs and just leather then £60 is stillachievable.

If it has an engine, I am there to thrash it.

It was orange juice and some flavoured water with some little chocolate cakes.

However, the only thing you really need to digest is the beauty of the Emira :)
