Welcome to TLF!

I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with your Cup.  Probably hooked for life, so good thinking to leave an itch to scratch at later time. 😉

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Thanks, yeah I thought it’s best to leave a model with more power for a later date/purchase 🙂

I have planned an Atom next, and nearly bought one instead of the Cup, but this is far more usable lol

Welcome to the fold - great to see some photos, and a great colour combo.

You do realise that you will have to get a second Lotus now :)

Whereabouts in the country are you?

Chris.

One think I will say about these cars having come from all kinds of JDM and high powered cars, they have a very different feel to them.

So my last track cars have been DC2, DC5, EVO, Lancia, 1000hp R33 GTR V-Spec 2 and many many others.

The S Cup already feels very special to drive, the feedback is immense, the driving position perfect (for me anyway). Getting in and out will take a bit of getting used too, as is the lack of luxuries lol, but overall it’s a very impressive bit of kit and I cannot wait to test the big aero out 🙂

To me it feels very similar to drive as the NSX-R, by this I mean how it’s so driver focussed and minimalistic to ensure the driver gets a raw and exciting experiencE with an exotic feel.

Unfortunately I missed my only chance to by an NSX-R and regret it more than anything as their values now have made them unobtainable, but the lotus is very very special already 🙂

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Never give up. I probably looked for nearly a year until I found the S4 that I have just sold.

Good things come to those who wait.

Yeah was just over a year, couldn’t find the right S2 Exige where the spec and condition were actually as advertised and so widened my consideration to the Elise cup and Exige v6. The v6 cup will Ideally be next or the atom I also want, this is the perfect middle ground for cheaper running costs and fun 🙂

And to those who have taken a long time to source their dream and cherished it, only then to sell it, come nothing but regrets.

Buy, use, enjoy - my motto. Life’s too short to leave things sitting deteriorating in a garage 👍

Life's too short.

You may not wake up tomorrow so enjoy today to the full.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

100% mate, the amount of cars I viewed which has just sat and deteriorated. What people forget is no use means things perish, deteriorate, dry up, bushes crack and so on. Buy, drive and enjoy for sure imo

Just thought I'd update the page with a mix of photos from the last year as more of a car build thread as it's progressing ready to be used properly.
