right-hand indicator failure...

I understand that this topic has already been covered, but...

My right-turn indicator works, but at double-speed (my MOT tester friend tells me that this is legal, as long it flashes at no more than 120 per minute) and is very annoying!

All three indicators work, but both side (wing-mounted) ones were replaced just a couple of years ago by the previous owner (I've only had the car for a fortnight) and appear 'non-original' to me as they're missing the Evora logo.  My mate thinks that if they're LED, this may be the issue as the lack of resistance might confuse the electrics?

Any ideas?  I've tried to source originals from a breaker but no luck yet!

You can get the Evora side indicator sticker from Dan at Divine Handcraft. I commissioned them when Lotus would only supply Exige branded repeaters with a Union Jack sticker when used on Elise or Evora. The original units are sealed with the logo name imbedded in the unit.

I would think your side repeaters are Lotus supplied but marked Exige under a sticker.

The OEM side lights and the front indicators in the headlights are LEDs. Hyper flashing typically comes from the indicator out circuit, indicating one or more lights are out on that side.

Unless someone has fitted a "dodgy" no-resistor LED replacement bulb in the rear unit - worth a look......

Are your rear lights OEM?

(Or, GRP replacements? - that’s Greg’s Racing Parts, not Glass Reinforced Plastic).
