What made you happy today?

So, went out for a 3 hour blast today in Scarlet. Wonderful, empty, Scottish Roads around Amulree, Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Lake Tay, Killin, Lochearnhead, Comrie, Crieff, Perth etc. That was a blast.

But what really made me happy was simply getting back home, sitting on my step outside in the sun, with a nice cup of tea, looking at Scarlet and listening to her just quietly ticking away, purring away you might say, as she gently cooled off. Sometimes it's just the simple things....

100 Years Ago

Perhaps the wrong thread but I'm Happy as I will be playing tribute to those (100's of thousands) that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.  I'm off to Ypres and the Menin Gate tomorrow, then down to the Somme for the 100th anniversary commemorations on 1st July of the commencement of the Battle of the Somme.

One of my longest clients sold his business at midnight Tuesday. I dropped him in a nice bottle of single malt to say thank you for all the work he's put my way in the last 6 years or so.

today - phonecalls from most of the sites - and the list of work is growing........ Win/win

Had a drag race on my old school football pitch with my mates 69 Fastback.  It was our school 25th reunion.  My car won   I doubt they'll be playing football on there for a while.

Swindon to Newhaven yesterday, 143 miles. Dieppe to Camaret sur Mer on nearly the furthest west point of France in Brittany today, another 390 miles. The green machines didn't miss a beat. Empty D and N roads, great surfaces and swinging bends. avoided the motorways. PURE DRIVING PLEASURE. I'm loving it.

Stopped in Normandy on the way 

Two nights here then down to La Rochelle for three nights to get some sunshine. Up to Chartres for two nights, then back to Dieppe. France is paradise, the food, the roads, the weather.

1,410 completely trouble free miles all told on a week's driving holiday around western and northern France. That's my V8's average annual mileage over the last twenty years in five days!

A great trip, What a car for doing distance in. Soooooooo comfortable, effortless power to lose the bumper hugging Frenchies behind. I love driving in France on the D and N roads. Lotus country...

Our annual outing to Glamis Scottish Motoring Extravaganza over the two days, Saturday and Sunday, and we had a great turnout of cars and people. MMC of Edinburgh were gracious enough to give us the new Evora 400 to have on the stand for Sunday, thanks for that guys. This is the first official support we have had of Lotus or a distributor, and that was a good bit of commitment from Brandon for giving us the car, and Ian Parking, sales executive for driving up with it and staying on site all day to speak with customers old and possibly new. Thanks to the 30 odd cars over the two days. Without you guys we could never have put this on. Plans have already started for 2017.
