The obvious costs and waste trying to deport a handful of illegal immigrants out of the country and the intervention of the ECHR. The plane has returned to its home base that seems to be in Spain (petrol costs ....), the waste of the police resources - looks like a at least 14 vehicles in some sort of convoy. When the plan was announced ,one could see that it was going to result in huge waste of public money at a time when some are struggling. Has not put off the people smugglers at all.

Went to get wheels balanced as there was a very noticeable wobble, one wheel straight and balanced OK, one  has a bend in it but balanced OK, two were so bent out of round that balancing wasn't an option. Bloody Route OZ wheels.

Asked the place to do an alignment check as they advertise all sites do it,  but then checked whether they can do Caster adjustment. Turns out they do even do Caster check. Looks like I'll dig out the Dunlop kit.

Spoke with the firm doing the wheel repairs, there are two of them that they are not confident that a repair is viable. They are going to attempt it but m\y mean the wheels need replacing (and since I have spare wheels, more importantly need more wheels refurbed and painted to match).

Tried to speak with the air con specialist I have used before, no reply to text to reply to voicemail, so I suspect he simply doesn't do R12- R134a conversions, looks like that means (once I have wheels back on the car) driving to Ipswich or similar to get a firm there to do it, down side being if it needs parts it means multiple trips to Ipswich.

My M100 S2 wheels have now been at the wheel repair place for 6 weeks, one is done (the only straight one) the others waiting to be straightened. May be more expensive than I first thought.

I’m not sure if it made me unhappy today but it was was going so well, and then I logged onto TLF and saw the new partnership announcement for Lotus. What the hell is an NFT Pro, the XRP Ledger and how does a ripple tie it all together?

I’m 26 man, I didn’t think I was supposed to feel old yet…

Probably a way of buying your spare parts that are on back order and just sit on a 'parts required not being made' yet block chain.

I did read the full article and also read it to her indoors who said I must be bonkers.

I have a set of OZ wheels if required. No marks on them.

Women are now 2nd class citizens in the United States.   Apparently old white men in the Congress want to control reproductive decisions for women because they think they know best.   It's my belief that the Men should have recused themselves from this matter as they have no experience of what it's like to be female.   The vote should have excluded men due to lack of reference points.   Look for a bill in Congress that will force men to have a vasectomy until they are married for at least 2 years.  Then through an arduous legal processing request a vasectomy reversal.  The court will decide if you are granted this surgical procedure or not.

The problem I believe you have @bogle is mainly with the Republican party, in general, not just in congress.

Only when the demographic (and attitudes/beliefs) of the Republican party moves from the 18th to the 21st Century will you have a balance of power and a more representative government in either house.

until then, the people have what they voted for. That's democracy.

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

You are correct!

Once Trump and his cronies are jailed, I hope we can impeach/remove some Supreme Court Justices due to McConnell's trickery.  Actually Clarence Thomas may need to step down due to his wife's activities and his involvement in election fraud/obstruction.  There are congressmen Hawley, Jordan, Brooks along with the likes of Bannon, Navarro, Stone, Mark Meadows that should have rooms reserved at Riker's Island Maximum Security Suites.  No Club Fed for these idiots.  It's F**k me in the Arse prison for these bastards.

I'm afraid I'm back here for this one, :(.

JENNIFER : FURTHER UPDATE

Basically, there is still nothing new as yet to report. Jennifer has been up and down quite a bit over the past few weeks and much of the positive news that I hoped to 'make public' by now has been somewhat overshadowed by some regressive steps.

I'm still trying to establish contact with her consultant who is proving more elusive than an honest MP. Unable to track him down for a face-to-face session, I wrote him a letter outlining my concerns over a week ago but it is so-far unanswered.

Until I can get his take on things, I don't really know where we're going at the moment which is not exactly doing wonders for my eating and sleeping patterns.

Sounds frustrating to wait so long to hear from the consultant.  A holding pattern is not easy to navigate.  I hope you hear something even if it's just a slight bit of information.

Chaps coming Tuesday evening to fix. Came in from boiling in the tractor to find the fridge had had a hissy fit and decided to cool everything down to freezing point - unknowingly I had a chilled drink quickly followed by a total brain freeze 🥶🤪🥶
