Been wondering about that, Bibs. A couple of years ago, when I first uploaded 5 megapixel phone pics from my then "new" phone, I got the (fully expected) "good grief, that's bigger than the Earth" ribbing from you, and I took to "resizing" them for future posts. However, I got lazy recently, and omitted that step with no ill effects. Further investigation found that the pictures, which have always been uploaded to the "my pictures" folder on my laptop, prior to posting on the forum, had somehow been reduced in size during the phone-to-computer transfer process. In the past, the full 5 MP amount of data had made its way to the folder. But no longer. Very mysterious.

No, mate. Thats just our monthly come together of the local Lotus enthusiasts.

And thats not my fleet. Its just my private garage :-) 2 of my cars were parked inside the garage.

So there is no car of mine on the pics.

We had a barbeque at my place - it was a very cool day with the guys.

But some days ago i had something like "money destroying" on our autobahn.

I had a sudden loss of pressure in the left rear tire with this result ...

Sorry to see that Dragi........

Damn irritating and soul destroying that this happened and i am sure just looking at the pics creates a lump in the throat.

Technically sound ...Theoretically poked !

Dragi,

Cars, no matter how valuable, are replaceable. Happily you are OK. Lots of damage to the right front corner. Did notice one thing was spared. The small yellow and green emblem. ACBC was looking out for you!

:no Ouch! Glad you're ok Dragi, looks like a big smash!

I had bruises on the chest and on my back.

For several days I needed help to get out of bed.

But i think the car is done ...

Sorry to see that Dragi........ Damn irritating and soul destroying that this happened and i am sure just looking at the pics creates a lump in the throat.

The physical pains were done after a few days.

But the emotional pains persist ...

In the end it was just a car. And i'm happy to have come out almost injury free.

I haven't realized that. But it does look as if ACBC has protected me. In case of selling the wreck i will keep that part of the

side skirt. After looking over the pics again: the front plate has been spared too.

That sucks Dragi! Sorry to see your Omega crashed! Glad you weren't injured with more than some bruising!

That's right, Travis. Especially since the car was completely restored last year.

I have spent a mountain of money on the car. But in the end its just a car.

I'm happy i had the chance to get out of the wreck without bad injurys.

Is there chassis damage, I'm no mechanic but it looks repairable from the pics? Perhaps?

Yep, the chassis is bent on the right front end so far that the frame has caused a crack on the front turbo housing.

In the passenger footroom area the chassis has moved for ca 7cm. And the windscreenframe has a bend on the right upper corner.

I'm sure a "normal" Omega in this condition would end at the shredder.

Maybe some specialists out there would be able to make my car ok again. But for how much yuros??

And i'm not sure if I want to keep the car after this crash ...

I had a variety of lotuses the over last 12 years and this is the first accident i had with a Hethel-car.

But i think this Lotus Omega is very very done ...

Dragi is very very sad ...

Ouch! Glad you are ok but sorry to see the LC looking like that.

Thanks Ian, i'm ok. It could have been worse. But as i said before i'm happy to be here :-)))

Glad you're ok Dragi. Sad to see the car. :(

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Finally found an Elan I can afford. Needs loads doing to it, but at least my wife's looking forward to driving it (she's too scared of the Esprit).

Dawn could never pluck up the courage to have a go in the Esprit, but says she'll be quite happy to drive around in the Elan.

Although they're like chalk & cheese, it's great fun & handles as you would expect from a Lotus.

I have been sporradic on the forum as of late, however, I do anticipate a little bit more attention from me coming up. My shop has been shut down by local government officials due to a law about working on vehicles for pay out of a residential garage.. However, since this seems to be the place for automotive porn.. here's a few pics for ya'll..

From here on is a series of pictures of cars that I have worked on over the years.. (With the Exception of the CGT and the Harrier)

Here was one sunday at my shop.. a bit busy that day... from left to right-- 2001 Diablo 6.0, 2002 Esprit #099, 1997 Aston Martin DB7, and a CLK

Here's #003 and #056 in my garage..

And Here's #099 and a 2000 Esprit as well as #003 in the shot..

Here's a shot of the Diablo 6.0 by itself...

Here's a shot of the Bentley Arnage I worked on for a while..

And... the Azure..

And.. the Silver Seraph..

And.. just for the heck of it.. the silly money that exists here... this is a privately owned Harrier:

And.. last.. but certainly not least... The CGT.. if anyone of you have the opportunity to ride in one of these... DO NOT TURN IT DOWN.. WHAT A CAR!! I'm a lotus fan yes.. but holy hell is this car amazing.

And finally.. I bought #099.. so here's a couple of more pics of her:

Hi Bibs!! I am quite enamoured with the chrome orange as well. As for the Harrier, at that point it didn't work, but he had already ordered the engines and was supposed to be flying it this year.

WRT the Harrier: is that "Oil Patch" money? What the heck??

P.S. Sorry about the local garage kerfuffle: I didn't think one would see such nonsense in Canada, let alone Alberta. It seems to me that you must have a real jerk of a neighbour somewhere.

P.P.S. Love the new car!

well.. The Harrier isn't from "oil money" in this case. The owner owns a jet engine repair company as i recall. As for the garage thing.. It really sucks, but, I have since taken a raise and a management position at work (which the garage had previously prevented me from being able to do.) The end result is being able to afford the v8.

Thanks Patrick!
