One of my NLC shots from this weekends trip to Wales with the LDC

No particular reason for it, but I was out on our deck around sunset and decided to take a picture of our neighbours to the south. Not the best light, nor the best lens, but here it is. The (slightly fuzzy looking) pyramidal object sticking up out of the water marks the Canada-US boundary.

In July of last year I posted a shot taken from my deck showing the Canada-US boundary marker poking up out of the water. Well, I was out there at midday today and noticed it was low tide with the marker no longer in the water (Semiahmoo Bay is quite shallow at that point). Same antiquated i.e., 10 yr. old DSLR with a 55 mm lens, but here is the low tide comparison:

Maybe it was suppose to be this.

We had major cloud cover, so had to take this shot looking through the clouds, hence not very good.

Whereas this shot was taken last Saturday night on a clear night.  Much better.
