so back to topic: now that we have learned how not to park the following pic shows a good alternative if you need a parking space very urgent......

haahh -Alex, reminds me on the course in 'road & roadside construction and traffic management'  ..with topics on 'turning circle on junctions/crossroads and drive ways' .. 'parking space for public areas', 'motorway & autobahn lane dimensions', 'traffic light timing'  and 'sum of traffic for comunal road construction'

 

..you would be surprised how much mathematic is within a simple drive from point A to B in modern life.

That reminds me of why I wonder about the park assist systems that are now available.  If you need one, then you either can't drive or your car has a dangerously poor visibility.  I lean towards the view that they generally pander to people who can't drive which shouldn't be encouraged.

Not sure why this fella needed three spaces outside the supermarket. It's not a particularly big car park either.

They actually had a segment on one of the tabloidy sort of shows that follow the news. Showed one guy with his HSV Commodore parked on the intersection of four spaces.

Comments ensued in our house from family members berating his action as rude etc.

 

I suppose it is, but I understand completely why he does it. I wouldn't do it in the esprit as no doubt that would just incite someone to key the car.

As far as I was concerned, this guy was just trying to protect his pride and joy the only way he knew how. Making it difficult for anyone to park beside him.

As shopping car parks here are private property as well, I'm not sure if the police have any jurisdiction in them.

I love this kinda parking. It's the tossers who cause the damage that make people feel the need to park this way. That and parents not in control of their kids.

It's like calling someone a dick for undertaking on the motorway when the real issue is middle and outer lane hoggers.
