Scissor jack etc

Can anyone point me in the direction of a scissor jack, handle and brace please?

They are for a S4S.

I couldn't find a reasonably priced Esprit wheel brace when I looked, however a Porche 911 brace is a good replacement, it even fits in the Esprits proper location. I paid about £14 for a new old stock one off ebay......

IIRC the S4/ S4S jack was made by Bilstein. In 1996 the part number changed so I don't know if the later jack is the same manufacturer. I think you can still buy the later jack for around £80 from a dealer.

I dunno if the later jacks are like the SE Jack but be careful - mine turned out to be a death trap...skipped threads when I was lifting one of the wheels.

Lotusbits have come up with a jack/brace/handle. Should be here by the weekend. I'll try lifting a wheel and watch for any skipping!

OK, this is what I did with my jack. Still the easiest way to get a wheel off the ground, what with the low ride height, lack of jacking points etc. I still find the rear a problem, very easy to bend a suspension part if you are not careful.

I found an old (fairly deep) half inch drive socket. I cut a groove in it and drilled it out to take a nut and bolt. The addition of a couple of rubber washers stops it slopping about when attached to the jack. I just wind it up and down with a nice rachet drive. Working OK so far . Regards Roy.
