I would just like to say a big thank you to you Michael for these brackets - excellent quality and fitted spot on, no issues   You probably also saved me ruining my front discs, as I noticed the pads were very low, so changed them whilst the wheels were off today, Cheers!

Thanks for the positive feedback chaps, I only really did this out of interest for the car and something different at work, so it's nice to be appreciated.

With all the #lightisright marketing from Lotus, I've been considering revising the design and making a race/motorsport version (add an extra hole or two and charge £300 a pair) :sofa:

That'd be right...

Can you produce the next batch first though? ;)

The Bracket 410? Or the Cup Bracket.

Marvellous. ;)

I've just received a set of brackets (thanks Michael!) and will get them fitted when I take my car in for a service next week.  I have a Dec 2010 NA with 22k on the clock and was shocked when I checked after reading this thread to find the offside bracket has pretty much rusted away completely.

New brackets fitted by Pure Speed in Knaresborough today for £66 (an hour's labour) - a nice fit apparently.  Feeling happy I have ones that should last substantially longer than the originals.

Thanks for the feedback Roy. I expect the car is MUCH faster now as well, yeah?

Oh yes Michael, definitely faster without my mudguards flapping everywhere and spoiling the aerodynamics....and I'm pretty sure I'm more attractive to women now as well.

Do you think you'll make any more? I've been holding off replacing them until November when the Evora's in for service but as only about half of each bracket is left I'll definitely need to get it done.

I have a pair that I never fitted, not sure if they fit 400s and I'd hope lotus have it solved, so I may have a pair to sell.

:lol::lol: If it's true, I can't believe they haven't changed them on the 400. Shocking.

Lotus should be aware I make these and Bibs was kind enough to take a sample set to them, but never had an enquiry for supply. Of course, it's possible they've changed the material?

I can make more if there is sufficient demand. I'm not going to retire on this, but if people need them (and they will do), I'll try to help.

Last time I was tickling the back end of my car with a microfibre duster I noticed a bracket above the rear wheel to the clam that I suspect will need replacing at some time too!  Just saying... ;)

Anyone know what size rivets are needed for fitting the brackets to the panel? And is the back of the panel where the brackets rivet onto aluminium or composite? May finally get around to fitting them this weekend.

Thanks

Ooh, could I get a pair too please?

Not looked at mine yet but having "been there, done that" with umpteen stupid brackets rusting on previous Lotus I've owned (the similarly placed brackets on Exiges being a good example) I think it's safe to say that this would be a good investment.
