Not sure how your car could be 0342 Phil, can you double check?

Just checked plate in windscreen.  definitely 0342.  Maybe need to start looking at history a bit further. Other VIN number indicate 1981, Export Hot, but then a 1 prior to 0342 which says Domestic which I assume means UK?

That thing's had a life or two then......someone needs to get it out that museum prison though & get it back on the road. And paint it red again......it was clearly looking it's best when it was Red Dave.:)

Agree Stephen it certainly looked best in Red with Gold decals! ?

Unfortunately I doubt the car will ever see the road again as not sure Haynes even run them up regularly?

Dave,

Do not remember seeing that car, very sad as it looked like a well cared for vehicle going by the interior :cry:  8K was strong money for 2011, lets hope it was reshelled.

But sadly looks like it would of made a fatastic parts car also :cry:

Great link Stephen, I went budgeting for £8k at the time but would of gone a little higher as it did look nice in the flesh although I was not keen on the sunroof.

I bid on a Mk1 Mini but lost that as well, still it was a good day out!

Where did the Esprit end up? Anyone on the Forum?

Dave :)

I must ask Mark for the chassis number of this one if he remembers;
