IWM Duxford Spring Car Show - Sunday 30th April

It's that time of year again and I'd like to extend an invitation to all Lotus Owners to attend the Spring Car Show at IWM Duxford. The popularity of this show has grown year on year and we've had 40+ Cars most years.

If you can only make a morning or afternoon or even an hour or two Duxford are usually very flexible with entry and exit times unlike many other shows, last year the entry gate was open from 9.30am-2.00pm and you can leave whenever you wish.

A big bonus here is that when you've looked round all the car displays you can then view all the aircraft on show and yes they do have a Concorde as well. Often the workshops are open so you can see restorations in progress.  There's a large café in the American Air Museum and if you'd like to see things from the air you can book a pleasure fight with Classic Wings on the day. There's usually a few trade stands selling car valeting products at good prices  as well.

 

The cost is £12.60 per person (£6.30 Children under 16) payable on the dedicated entrance gates.

The quicker I get an idea of numbers the better as this will allow me to gain more space, hopefully if we put on a strong show we can keep our current position which will hold at least 50 cars.

Martyn, I probably won't make it for long again this year, if at all, due to a very probable diary clash (unless there is a favourable fixture change I will be in 'Nam). 

Was hoping to put the new master cylinder through it's paces in the slip road queue too!

Not progressing at all. Needs a lot of time and a bit of money to get that sorted but it's on my "Bucket List"...

Just been sidetracked into a Subaru engine rebuild - oil  pressure wasn't looking too good on my Forester 2.5 XTN after 117k miles, probably due oil pickup pipe being cracked - gave it a gentle twist and all was revealed. After that quad cam, variable valve timed, turbocharged engine the Lotus 2.2 engine is simplicity itself so that may well get done sooner than I thought, now I'm in 'engine building mode' I'd do that for desert.
