Just renewed my subscription for a second year. The first 6 issues has been quite good in my opinion.  Paper quality isn’t that good. But hey, it’s very resonabled prized so what to expect. Will be intersting to see how they follow-up this first year. Comparing different generations of Elise, Exige and Esprit only work once in a while.

Just done the same, here's hoping it continues to prosper and continues with the quality.

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

+1. I was wondering the same, but I guess they can run a timeline of special limited editions from the last couple of decades and compare them ad infinitum.

Seriously. They probably don´t need suggestions for the future as I think there is still plenty of content they can develop, including buying guides comparing cars from different eras but similar budgets, for instance.

It may also show a bigger picture of the "industry" around the brand and its products. I think they could also provide some perspective into the different cars and the situation of the factory at the different times, talking to the guys involved, etc. or on the current suppliers for the older cars, interviews with specialists/enthusiasts, plus I am sure there are plenty of race cars and special cars that could do with some show light...

Ah. And I would like to see what they have to say on the Elan +2 or the first Elite, for instance.

Anyway, thumbs up from me. I have enjoyed the first year.  :)

My thoughts are similar to your own, I'd add:

Tales from the Factory - perhaps some anecdotes from ex factory / team Lotus workers.

Interviews with current key staff members (if possible).

Long Term Owner running reports / restoration.

How do you mean Jean?

Yet, I can tell you that there were delivery problems with latest issue 7 (May/June) which was published early April. Did you receive this issue?

I did not receive the issue neither and contacted the magazine (jessica@performancepublishing.co.uk). Apparently they lost a full batch of shipped Lotus magazines. I had to contact them twice 😠 (the second copy they sent didn’t reach me neither - did they send it or were there other problems? - so a third copy was sent) when I finally received my copy this week.

As they knew they lost a full batch of Lotus magazines and a lot of subscribers would not receive their copy, they could have at least by default re-send a batch. As it seams they just wait until each individual subscribers contacts them and then promptly try to get you one...

I recieved my copy fine, on time, etc.

@PascalM very few publishers can afford to just send out new batches just like that. The volumes are just not there and the margins very tight. Imagine the cost of printing, packaging and posting. If it was my company I'd do the same

Agreed, there is a cost. But with subscribers who generate the revenue left out of the blue...

At least a signal via email or the site could've been given. Word would spread very fast and have resolved the issue without a costly operation. But maybe that's my simple thinking...

If they were aware that a batch went missing, in order to fulfil their contract with their subscribers I can't see any other option but to resend that entire batch. I would assume that they are using a 3rd party to print and distribute and there must be something in the contract they have with them about if a batch of their magazines goes missing. If I send out a merch order from our shop and the courier told me if had gone missing, I can't imagine it would be any way acceptable for me to go 'oh well, at least I tried to send it' and forget about the order from there! Legally the order is my responsibility and possession until it arrives with the customer, anything that happens en route is my shout.

I couldn't comment @Bibs as I have no idea what is in their contract with their 3rd Party. I also have no idea if it was a whole batch or not. I would argue it is supposition just now. If it was my company and I coukd work out who was affected I woukd and I'd send a duplicate copy anyway. But it's not my company

I can comment on TLF shop purchases and I've never had an issue with an order not being fullfilled fully or promptly.  I did give up on one potential order as despite many tries I never got a quote.

I had problems with my first subscription. Two magazines never arrived. Despite numerous dealings with them, they never rectified the issue and were not bothered. Consequently, I did not renew my subscription. Pretty poor form, all in all :)

Caught between a rock and a hard place in a catch 22 situation, So its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. Your damned if you do, but your damned if you don't so shut your cock!!!!!!!!!!!

Got mine today - for what it’s worth I thought the first ones felt a bit “club-mag” but the last ones are now very good indeed. Great work👏🏻👏🏻

Haha, love the fact they used my Avatar as their front page picture. After interviewing the old man they asked for any pics and I sent it to them amongst others :)

I haven't got a copy, how does the article about MJK read?
