Mike Bishop Seriously Ill in Hospital

Recommended Posts

I am sure you will all want to pass on your best wishes to Lotus Stalwart and dear friend of MJK and all Lotus owners, Mike Bishop (Ex Sales Director Lotus Cars back in the "old days".). Mike was taken ill last Wednesday (I believe that is right) and was initially in a serious condition. He is now out of intensive care but still not brilliant or up to seeing visitors.

Get well soon Mike.

Thanks, Kimbers. Bishie has always been a great friend and supporter of Lotus in America. More importantly he is a true gentleman and marvelous person. Best wishes to him for a speedy and compete recovery and to Gill and the rest of his family during these trying times. — Wes F.

Sorry to say that the family invited my father in to see Bishie a few days ago. Last Monday he was up reading his get well cards but sadly suffered another stroke the next day. He is now in palliative end of life care.

I know this thread didn't get much attention before but I am boosting it again.

Mike Bishop wasn't in the forefront of car design or in the press every day. He wasn't high profile or mentioned all over the internet. He quietly got in and did his job and was excellent. An absolute Lotus stalwart who supported MJK throughout his career and loved Lotus and the car industry. He will be sorely missed by dad and everyone who knew him. Myself included. I extend my love and condolences to Mikes Family and wanted to let them know that not only do we remember him but that the Lotus Community offers their respect.
