this car is really tidy - a proper testament to the Long term PO. The guy that bought it was very lucky - even if the brakes are worse than I’ve ever experienced 

So far ticked off the following

Servo in, master fitted, pedal modified, pipes to balance valve, level switch sorted, abs / brake light modified, old master cover cut and refitted, vac line ran, pump fitted in rear, cables run into vac area.

That particular issue did indeed delay works today. I’m sure the missus was gonna explode had I not dropped the spanners  and washed the stinking bitch of a dog

Pump wired in, plumbed up and pressure drop tested. All is well.

my old laptop PC on the other hand has died - this has caused some issues as the other laptop I have only has USB ports.

the s4s came with a usb lead - so easy I think - just install freescan again on that. Nope - opens and says missing file or some pishe - help !!!

Second pair of hands arrived tonight. One person simply can’t hold the beast of a contraption which crushes and forms the steel brake pipe ends.

all now assembled - paper towel left overnight to check for weeps - won’t be any though

Bleeding was ummm fun. It’s been at two “specialist” in the not too distant past. One it has literally come straight here from. Brakes were bled as per the manual apparently. Well - I can say with 120% confidence that’s a utter fairytale. All four brake nipples haven’t been touched in many a while - and all four were solid. After seeing @Sparky interesting calliper issue earlier today I will confess to closing my eyes and looking the other way whilst clenching.

Im gonna recommend he changes the rubber hoses at the back end - and very urgently indeed 

thats not nice - the rears were a bstard to bleed. Passenger side wouldn’t go at first - had to do the drivers side - and then we could get the passenger side flushing.

thats the sludge out of the one side........ now have a nice firm pedal

2345 - and it’s time for a well earned cider before bed.

I shall stick the wheels on at some point tomorrow and road test before mot and setting up the wilwood.

Is that black rubber in the blend pipe Barry ?  Never seen that before !

I’m convinced the Delco master cylinder accumaulates crap inside it. Looking at what you drained out, it kinda backs up the theory.

I suspect it's because most of them do not get bled properly

Off the ramps and road tested.

brakes were that bad when it arrived that i simply didn’t feel safe taking it on a test drive. Now I have to report it’s great. 

The lacking brembos is noticable- but this car will now lock its wheels and stop in a whole lot less time than before.
