Shame Ken’s off. Used to listen while I was working. Radio 2 seems to be full of banal air heads now, won’t be listening anymore.

More shots from yesterday at Race Restro. Some very tidy cars there. That Sierra RS500 had 2000 miles on the clock, but still a ridiculous price. -
In my share ISA I bailed out of debt ridden IAG at £1.70 the other week when the market hit 8000, they've tumbled to £1.55 now. Grab the money and run.

I'm surprised more Range Rover owners don't use steering locks or pedal to steering locks. Most thieves would take one look and walk off. I guess new Range Rover Owners are to busy poncing around and brushing there hair.

Condensation in gauges
Mark Blanchard replied to Gjk's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC
I used to get that. As Bibs said a humidifier is the way to go. I use a desiccant dehumidifier in the garage. They removed huge amounts of damp in the air and no more condensation problems. Good luck. -
Very nice indeed! Welcome.

Jim Clark trying to keep the flawed Lotus 40 on the road. It was known as the Lotus 30 with 10 more mistakes. The chassis was later used in the Europa and further developed for the Esprit.

Any Ferrari owners on here? Past or present
Mark Blanchard replied to LotusFella's topic in Lotus / Motoring / Cars Chat
Very true. It's amusing to see Daytonas / Dinos and BB's with 20k on the clock at auctions. These are have been around the clock and enjoyed like any other car of their age. A mate sold a Daytona back in the 90s with 65k on the clock and saw the same car a year later in the classifieds with 42k on the clock. Clocking is basically fraud and it's been going on for years. -

Often the Owners clock the cars back before they go in for the next service / MOT. So MOTs are not guaranteed. There are 4 places in the car that need changing on the 458s. On the older cars you could pull the cable out of the back of the speedo. A clue to knowing if a car's been clock is to look at the previous MOTs. If there are increments of only a few hundred miles a year but the MOT brings up tire wear, coil spring corrosion, track rod end ball joints deteriorating, worn bushes then it's probably being used more than it says. -
Even Ken Clarke says it's time the Tory's had a rest. I've no idea who to vote for either. I won't be voting for our current socialist Tory government. https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/ken-clarke-conservatives-rest-labour-power-starmer/

Not sure. You never know with a Ferrari, so many of them are clocked. The Mileage Correction companies are always busy. One told me they're clocking 20 458 / 488s a week in the UK. It's quite shocking what goes on and dealers don't mind either. Even Ferrari dealers were clocking back cars a few years back. There was a case in Florida. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5437837/Ferrari-fesses-dealers-changing-odometers.html -
Many view the S4s is the pinnacle of the Esprit. The engine had been developed and was reliable and the Lotus had pushed the maximum performance from the 900 series engine. The S300 was also up there. I've always liked the S2 from a visual point of view. Clean, elegant lines and the Speedlines look superb.

Agreed. If you buy a bad car you can burn through £15k easily. Someone I know has just done that with a Mondial. -

F430 are good cars. Yes it's a buyers market at the moment but prices are high. My 360 has gone up £10k in value since I bought it. Look for dealer history and you should be ok. My car has been cheaper to run than my Lotus. -
Very sad. His album Truth from 1968 was a monumental album which helped create the sound of heavy rock. I saw him live a few times and had the pleasure of chatting to him many years ago about his early career. And don't tell anyone but I've been copying all his riffs since the early 80s. RIP Jeff.
