  1. I was number four in the queue, deposit placed first week May, prior to the July reveal. I cancelled in December.Finally got my deposit back at the end of January after many calls to customer services, who I might add, told me the delay had been due to my card expiring. This was wrong as I paid with a bank transfer!!!. The worst experience I have had buying a car. Ive been a loyal customer of Lotus for over 30 years. Lotus version 2.0 are a shower of shite. Anybody with an ounce of common sense would see that the new way of purchasing was wrong, they aren't selling white goods. I also think the plan to go fully electric is misjudged. It seems that Lotus ver 2.0 love you if you are a social media bullshitter who doesn't really give a toss about Lotus. ( Harry Metcalf not included) Phil
  2. South West Lotus rebuild the gearbox and shim it correctly, something Lotus don't do. The result is that the transmission whine is gone
  3. I know, thats where Im at. I used to own yellow SR Na, should never have sold it.

  8. I will be taking the fancy fake exhaust tips off and putting something more genuine on. I thought Audi were the main culprits when it came to fakery !!
  9. I had an Evora Sports racer in yellow with black pack. Would I have black pack again, yes but it really needs serious maintenance to keep it swirl free, it does concern me for sure.
  10. Im glad that Im not the only one who thinks the interior is the weak point. Its boring and tft displays and touchscreens just make it like any other car. I would have prefered an analogue rev counter as the main focal point with digital speed and other info. Im not a porsche fan, far from it, but they seem to have it nailed on. Prefer the set up in the Exige. Looking forward to seeing the car on the 18th at Nottingham.

  12. Yes, I had the rear spoiler sorted snd the correct side skirts. There were things that Lotus did during its rebuild that were not correct and V8 parts had been used. The car drove fantastic, but it will always have the scandal green in its past. I would have another Sport 300 any day, but one with a perfect history.
  13. Yes it was. It had been rebuilt at Lotus after being involved in a big crash with a Vauxhall Calibre. I had it put back to yellow.

  17. I saw the JPS Evora 410 at Silverstone today and was lost for words!!, it's just perfect. I thought I was convinced that pearl yellow was the way to go but the Silverstone car is sublime, the rear end is stunning.
  18. Nice one Jonny, looking forward to your thoughts on the car when you get it. Ive been sat on the fence for a while with the 410, it wouldn't take much to convince me. Can't wait to see the spec, Sport 300 inspired?. Phil
  19. I've just been looking through all the views of the car and must say that Lotus have really got this one so right. It's so well thought out and the new front end is way more sexy and masculine than any current Mclaren. The only sticking point is finding the funds soon enough!!!. Apparantly only 6 for the Uk and nearly all have gone. Welldone Lotus. Phil

I know we are straying off topic a bit but my last comment on the subject concerns Porsche interiors, which people seem to salivate over: Surely I'm not the only one who finds the matching colour of seats, dashboard and steering wheel as vomit inducing!!!!!!, . Usually red,brown and beige being the worst. Oh and the Evora 410 interior is much improved over the standard 400 offering in my view, although the original Sports Racer interiors were the best.
  21. I agree on power to weight Jonny, I do think the masses get fixated on the headline figure. More important to me is the engine orientation, it should be rotated and sat lower. As per Kevin Riley's GT race car which is obliterating the Ferraris and Mclarens, even though they are running much more power!.

" Take a look at the Lotus with the body removed, massive difference between the two, that's what you are paying for. Porsche do a great job and the product lineup is very well honed. But Lotus, despite being run by the wrong person who thinks every time he releases a new product it has to be quicker round the track,, still make cars with soul. The chassis and suspension being easily adapted to take racing and win . The issue I have is the 410 offers just 10bhp more and that quite frankly, at the price premium over the 400 is a joke. Lets just say I'm growing impatient for a serious mid engined product from Lotus with the engine mounted the correct way!!!. Phil
