  1. Only ever put Shell V-Power in my two Evoras (NA and Supercharged). That’s over 10 years.
  2. As I understand it, Stratton bought all of the spare parts, which they used for their cars. Mansory still offer GTE bodywork, so must have the moulds. http://file.mansory.com/overview/Lotus_Evora_GTE/lotus_evora_GTE_overview.pdf
  3. No that’s the same price (£84k inc VAT) for those 2 cars for the past 6 years. No reduction. No bargain.
  4. Good job that they announced cutting this programme to half an hour.
  5. Well all F1 team seats are sorted for 2024 and it seems like there won’t be any changes at all. Just when you think the sport can’t get any more boring…
  6. Incredible to think that they officially announced the I4 at Hethel in July 2021 and yet American customers won’t see it until 2025. What have they been doing all this time? Haven’t deliveries to China already started? If not, are they buying V6 only?
  7. Leaving a work van overnight in a pub car-park is probably asking for trouble. Still better than the van driving idiots round here who come charging into the pub car park after work, have a skin full and then drive home again 4 hours later.
  8. All nicely gift-wrapped for Christmas!
  9. For me: Short haul. Not fussed whether A320 or B737 (not been on a Max yet though!). Long haul. A350 > A380 > B787 > B777 the cattle truck of the skies in distant last place.
  10. To be honest I just hang around in their nice new waiting area, log onto their Wi-Fi and do some work nowadays, so never ask for a courtesy car.
  11. Nope this is a prototype Sukhoi bomber, not the Tupelov airliner.
  12. Just reading that British Airways offered Concorde to NATO for supersonic interception trials (I guess like a Soviet bomber). From an assortment of F14, F15, F16, Starfighters and Mirages, only the Lightning managed to overtake it from behind. Concorde was travelling at Mach 2.2 at 57,000ft. Mind you the Lightning probably ran out of fuel before getting back to base! This led me to a link to this. Never heard of it before. Like something out of Thunderbirds. https://www.airdatanews.com/sukhoi-t-4-the-russian-valkyrie/
  13. Wow get you! I always ended up with their ageing Audi A4 with a thimble full of fuel in the tank!
  14. Correct. Look at the above linked Autocar tweet dated 18 April 2023. That was over 7 months ago, so hardly a scoop reveal now then! Perhaps Lotus forgot they’d already announced it!
  15. It’s funny how these streaming services have proliferated. There’s only a finite number of potential subscribers and most people are only interested in the films, which are often available across the different platforms. The only non movie content I have watched is The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm on Prime. I am not interested in any of the American TV shows or series. I get the feeling that many of the programmes produced and aired must get next to no viewers whatsoever. You can only cut the viewing audience so many ways.
  16. I thought we were supposed to stay at home and self-isolate. Not have large gatherings of strangers in No. 10. Oh hang on…
  17. This morning a local gardening contractor pulled up on the private road outside our house and parked his transit and trailer. Oh, one of the neighbours must have hired him, I thought. Anyway he climbs out of the cab, walks to the back of the van, has a cursory look around and then proceeds to empty his bladder all over our road. Job well done, he climbs back into the van and drives off. WTF!
  18. Watched the start but got bored into submission again. Tedious end to a tedious season.
  19. If that’s meant to be a fee-paying attraction, they should at least let you go inside, otherwise you’ll just look at it for free from the path. PS: it’s pointing the wrong way.
  20. I don’t know what it is this year, but it’s been a long time since I have shown so little interest in F1. Kind of ironic considering how important the “Show” is to Liberty Media. Despite all their format tweaks (eg. Sprint races) and off track celebrity razzmatazz, it has been a woeful year for entertainment. Thanks to the regulations, we haven’t even had the drama of blown engines, exploding tyres etc. of previous seasons. I have every qualifying and race on each weekend, but soon find my attention turning to something else. Yesterday was a good example: I had Qualifying on my iPad, but was so disinterested in it, that I had to check the BBC Sport website after it had finished to find out what had happened. It’s just far too predictable in sporting terms.
  21. All they have to do is stick the 430 V6 engine in it, delete a few luxuries and bolt on the GT4 wing and some fancy alloys. Maybe a weekend’s work?
  22. Who’s paying for your crash repair today then, Carlos?
  23. Where’s the link to this story about Ferrari?
  24. I have this on my office wall. It’s directly behind my lap top, so something to look at during all of those tedious Teams meetings!
  25. Same here. Had heard the hype about Ted Lasso back in the day, watched it on my free Apple TV trial and thought it was absolute tripe. Couldn’t even watch it with my football mad kids due to the unnecessary and unfunny swearing. Mike Bassett, England Manager it is not. Then watched a couple of their in-house films and just cancelled when the trial ended. Now in the same boat again a few years later with my new iPhone. They keep pestering me to start the 3 month free trial again, but there doesn’t seem much worth watching. There’s the Masters of the Air USAAF WW2 bomber series coming up at the end of January, but I fear that will just be a cliched Hollywood CGI predictathon. I also calculated that my free trial would expire before the final episodes have been released, so still in two minds whether to bother.
