  1. Just decided to book in and do this trip again. I booked through a Company called Bends & Curves 3 years ago and was super impressed with their service and planning of the trip and in my opinion a great all inclusive price for hotels (that were superb) and excellent food. Just beer/petrol money to find. Think there was was around 40 Lotus last time I went. Anyone else fancy an awesome 5-6 day road trip through France/Belgium/Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Italy and back in September? Couple of pics from last trip.

What a dreadful week for existing stocks. Time to buy more then.
  3. £34600 with mine. So yeah about 15%-20%? short of a proper valuation.
  4. Personally I think Royal Mail is a dying Company. Royal Mail has competitors nowadays unlike 30 odd years back. Many Businesses now use other options that are cheaper and more reliable where the employees are less likely to strike so delivery happens. Emails have killed the letter and not sending Xmas cards nowadays is becoming the norm. Post Office’s are closing every day and packets and parcels are couriered by numerous other available delivery services. Royal Mail is an out of date dinosaur. Could almost put British Rail in the same bracket.
  5. Just for a laugh, I periodically put in my Evora into We Buy Any Car. Even their valuation on my Evora has risen £900 in last 3 months.
  6. I’m on clutch change number 9 in the last 20 years. 👎 - Thankfully 0 with Evora.
  7. My Saturday afternoon for a number of years. Passed today.
  8. Just having my first read of this thread. What an unhappy first experience but hope you are now enjoying it. Reminds me of my first outing a decade ago in my V8 Esprit. After trailering it back in the early hours, I left it on the driveway and went for my first drive next morning (Saturday of a Devon busy Bank Holiday weekend) I live 500 metres from the Dual Carriageway so went up the slip road thinking I’ll stop for fuel at the petrol station 3 miles up the road. I didn’t even make the petrol station. I ran out of fuel (kind of the previous owner to leave less than a thimble) I sat, broken down, in the left lane of a 70mph Duel Carriageway blocking the left lane completely whilst causing traffic chaos on a Saturday Bank Holiday morning with cars when able to, driving past shouting Tosser! Traffic Policemen arrived and put cones out to slow traffic, whilst the other Policemen asked why I had decided to drive with no fuel? - New car officer, first drive, done less than 3 miles!! - Simple fix obviously but pretty embarrassed non-the-less. You will hopefully be pleased to know my also very low mileage 2014 Sports Racer I’ve owned since 2018 has been 100% faultless. Absolutely nothing/zero has broken, worn out or needed mending or fixing. A once a year service has genuinely been my only costs to ownership. This is the cheapest car to actually maintain/own I’ve had the privilege to own in my 55 years. Hope you now get to enjoy yours. 😊👍
  9. I am in the Mrs good books, she loved her bag and belt combo I got her for valentines, the hoover has never worked so well.
  10. Followed this Chinese weather balloon for 20 miles this morning before I realised some bird had pooped on the windscreen 😜
  11. 6”6” and 20 Stone here. No issues whatsoever even with helmet with Evora. Good hunting 👍😁
  12. At least I’ve had an apology now. Also 3 X £50 free bets. Just have to make them count now.
  13. I had an online sports bet on Saturday. I won £108 The Bookmaker made a mistake and instead of ‘paying out’ my winnings of £108 once, they completely cocked up and paid out 40 separate times on my individual bet and I ended up with £4311 in my account - the money kept rolling in over about 90 minutes - thought it would never stop at one point. Very nice indeed you may think but, I had no doubt it was not my money (similar to if a Bank wrongly credits your account - you can’t just take it and spend it obviously) I tried an online chat with the bookie and all I got was a Bot. I emailed and got no response until Sunday. By Sunday afternoon my Account was showing £4202 less than the previous day and then I had had my Account suspended and frozen for possible fraud or Account hacking! - I’ve had to speak to numerous people direct and online and jump through hoops to give explanations of what happened and my actions. It turns out it looks like it was software issue. I’m still waiting for the apology.
  14. I did the decent thing Mike and at least offered to take her with me. I should have kept it as a surprise and just said I’ve a special day planned 😜 James isn’t going. He has already organised a separate drive out for a group down his direction. He did mention it but said I’ve had ReFuel in diary for quite a while.
  15. And again!! Definitely a new owner. He’s always going the opposite direction on a main road. Will need to start teaching handbrake turns at this rate: What are the laws on stalking again? 🤣
  16. And just spotted same car same road. Wonder if he’s a new ‘local’ ? 😊
  17. It doesn’t I know. Been saving it for a special occasion - It was the start of the weekend 😜

If you had bought $1000 worth of Qantas shares one year ago, you would have made $49.00 today. If you had bought $1000 worth of AIG shares one year ago, you would have made $33.00 today. If you had bought $1000 worth of Lehman Brothers Shares one year ago, you would have made $0.00 today. BUT .... If you purchased $1000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then returned the cans for recycling. You would have made $214.00 today. So based on above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily then recycle. 👍😁🍺
  19. I opened this one on Friday. Extremely smooth for a Whiskey. Been sat in my garage in the dark for 30 years since it was given to me.
  20. He didn't kill 25 Taliban. He captured them, held them for hours, whinging and moaning about the problems in his life. Then the Taliban shot themselves.
  21. It was heading into Exeter not out so unless dropping off Hendy to come back on another day…. I’ve not seen it before 😊
