Another small job - LH tank heatshielding where the turbo is closest to the chassis/body.  Decided on Teknofibra

Air filter arrangement sorted.  Going for 2x ITG Maxogen closed airboxes (each one rated up to 300bhp)

Looks good! I'm also considering the ITG airboxes, both for the Esprit and the Range Rover. I didn't realize the routing could be so direct. Did they come complete with the rectangular intakes?

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

No.  The intakes were chosen to make the routing as direct as possible as I do not have the compartment walls

I though it looked too easy. 🙂 I'll work something out, at least now I have a reference.

Yup, that's how it's done with concentric slave cylinders.

Just finishing off a few things on the gearchange.

Hydraulic hoses arrived this morning, so I can now remove the gearbox and install the flywheel, clutch pack and slave cylinder.

Really impressive stuff Mike. One question though - purely from curiosity/learning - that cable abutment bracket on the top of the gearbox looks to be flexing/moving quite a bit in that video, is that expected? Will it not potentially fatigue over time?

Hi Tom,

The current arrangement is made from a simple piece of bent 5mm stainless plate that the OEM cable abutment is mounted on.  I did also notice the flex, so will add additional support on the open side.  There are already some threads in the top of the gearbox that I can use for that.

As mentioned before, as soon as you start making bespoke stuff it`s amazing the messing around that is needed to get it right.
