Another wet weather fiasco. The organisers don’t care about the ticket paying fans. Drivers moaning that it’s too wet to race on wet tyres, then they all come steaming in for inters. Just an utter waste of time.

Used to watch BTCC avidly particularly when they had MG's.

This weekend sees the end of Jason Plato's touring car career - one of the great characters of the sport.

Amazing ballsy move my Max on the first corner to get back in the front!  Congratulations Max on a well earned championship!

FIA causing another fiasco with unclear application of the rules making it a not so clear that Max had won the championship so was a bit of an anticlimax.

I guess the mis-table battles will still go right to the wire to see who can get 4th position in the constructors and I guess 2nd, 3rd, 4th in the drivers championship is still relatively open so still plenty of action in the remaining rounds.

If it were the olympics the gold medal would be withdrawn and given to the next person or persons in line.  It should not be unthinkable for Max to loose point/points and therefore loose the 2021 drivers championship.  Everyone knows it was Lewis’ and I am not a big Lewis fan.  I am a big fan of Justice and fair play!

At the very least RB should have their 2023 budget cap reduced by the amount they overpaid in 2021 plus 2 years inflation on top. That would just be keeping things fair across the grid, without any actual punishment for what they did.

But they got a massive performance gain from that overspend.  Not sure if true but someone was saying 200k gave 1/10th

Now that the FIA have confirmed that RB broke the budget cap and we’re also guilty of another procedural breach, shouldn’t Mercedes and Ferrari turn the tables on Little Jack and sue him for defamation.

Good point Paul. Also 5%, which they are under is still 7.5m so a considerable additional spend in terms of car development. I can't help feel that yet again the FIA will be toothless when it comes to RBR.

No point in FIA having any rules if people/teams don't abide by them.

May as well start outside your pit box by a little bit, go a little bit over track limits, ignore safety flags a little bit etc..

I've never known another sport so out of sync. with the rules and administration of them.

Agreed there needs to be a proper punishment given to RBR.

Bending the rules, finding holes in the specification is part of F1 but when teams get caught being bending them too far, they have always been punished.   I don't see why this would be any different!

The most important member of any F1 team nowadays seems to be the chief accountant. He needs to know how to “lose” a few million dollars worth of payments and receipts, if and when the FIA pops in to audit.

If you take in a 'pay to drive' driver, perhaps their millions could go straight to a sub contractor and not appear in the 'normal' books.

I think we've become so used to bending the rules, lies and corruption during and after Covid by the likes of Boris Johnson  and Nicola Sturgeon we've become accustomed to it unfortunately.

Integrity seems to have disappeared from our vocabulary entirely. When was the last time you heard of anyone being sacked? They all get a chance to resign on a full, gold plated pension.

Masi should have been sacked from his position immediately after an enquiry for bending the rules and turning F1 into one almighty, farcical cock up The final result should have been reversed and everyone, with the exception of MV and RB, would've seen that rules were followed and integrity was maintained.

It was all so very simple.
