Ignore

I know that there is a feature to ignore users, is there one to ignore threads?

This might seem a strange request, but an example:  Lotus / Motoring / Cars Chat forum. I'm not interested in the "Type 13x" threads, so would rather not see them in my Stream. 

I've read the initial posts, and I really have no interest in the thread(s)

I'm not sure there's a feature to ignore a thread other than not clicking on it but I'll have a look...

I've already got a "Discover" stream set up - can't see an Ignore thread option though.

There used to be a way of marking a thread as read by hovering over something around the totle and this would be an option, but that seems to have gone with one of the upgrades.

You can do that on entire forums, not on topics. Click the icon to the left of the forum in the forum index view. 

There's a plugin to ignore topics. I don't mind getting it but I'm a little reluctant as the software can be held up by plugins not being developed on an on-going basis, I've recently had to remove the clubs enhancements for example as the developers get bored or move on.

Just updated the software to 4.7.0 and I turn 3rd party apps off during the upgrade so they don't cause any issues. It'll be back momentarily

I moved the server to PHP8.1 yesterday and it seems to have disabled all apps and plugins. It's back now.

Getting on to PHP8.1 was, we were on 7.4 and it's now End of Life so I was getting many red messages! It's not as simple as it could be as we have evolved into quite a custom site over the years.

Just noticed this today, was ok yesterday.

Yup. Not all developers have updated their apps to run on PHP8, we have to wait for this to be updated. 

I did add this as a caveat back when we first looked into this, non-core apps do have these issues. 

I'll re-enable it as soon as it's updated and compatible again.
