Maybe there is just a lot of people there and the same guy bought three.

This one Monday, Tuesday. This one Wednesday, Thursday. This one Friday, Saturday.

Sunday is spent on the yacht.

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

I don't like the high pitch noise those motors make. It would get quite irritating on a long run.

Rear lights and rear end are ugly too (imo)

I won't be buying one, despite the fantastic design and engineering.

What’s the deal with this car? It seems bizarre that customer cars were apparently being delivered weeks ago, yet the JWW video posted above seems to be the only journalist test of a production spec car, and he wasn’t allowed to use the full power. Is there a problem that nobody’s talking about, or are Lotus (and all the customers) reluctant to share any video/review, or even story of the car being driven in its full 2000 hp form?

I think it is an absolute work of art, and mechanically, it's genius.

However, it is totally pointless as an ownership proposition. It would be a crap track day car as it would run out of juice too quickly, and take too long to charge up with available facilities (unless of course you're a total twonk who arrives with mega large diesel generators on the back of an HGV).

Similar issue using it on the road - it's just too ludicrously fas and low.

But then, in the "useless" stakes it is up their with practically all the "hyper" cars.

My view, it's a "collectors piece" that will bought for what it is, as opposed to how it drives.

A fantastic achievement. Utterly gorgeous. But they'll hardly be used, if ever. So pointless.

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

@Bibs do we know who was putting the car through it’s paces? That was a pretty hot lap.

The acceleration between 200kph and 300kph looked mind boggling. And if I read it right he peaked at 344kph. 213.752mph. 😳

For a modified road car - as far as Evija is a road car - as opposed to a from-the-ground-up race car, this performance is impressive. The final straight was just the right side side of scary and the number of corners where Dirk Muller had to litterally coast into it was ridiculous as he carried so much speed  and the torque was just always there... Evija X weighs under 1600kg

A road Evija weighs under 1900kg, question is, how much weight can be shed from that car if you remove the active aero?
