I'm actually wondering if it is clipped or accessible by an operated latch.

Access is only needed for annual maintenance, as all the regular fluid checks/fills are in the engine bay.  The front access panel is held by 3 captive bolts along the windscreen edge.  This from the handbook:

On reflection, could this have been Harry Metcalfe’s car? It’s RHD and Nimbus Grey. On the video it’s half finished on 10.10.22, so the time line could fit. It could also explain why it seems to be the only RHD car in the photos: Lotus had to squeeze it onto the production line for Harry’s visit that day.

He selected Silver wheels……the car in the pic has Diamond Cuts🤓

Blow up the label on the windscreen in high def. and it says HM's car. Honest 😉
